People are really after Hamer for that one fluky goal. He looked really solid otherwise, dealt well with everything else.

Nearly chucked one in a la Rob Green vs USA first half with the ball going under him, distribution was shoddy. Far from convincing, Jakupovic must not even being turning up to training if he's ahead on merit.

Thought Slim was about to impregnate Musa with that celebration. Steady Slim.

First the kiss on Gray's neck, then he jumped on Musa like that. I'm starting to thing Slim is into the BBC ;)

Is that the goalkeeping equivalent  of Yakubu doing nothing apart from scoring goals? Beard Hamer does everything apart from stopping goals? And nearly jumping over one. And kicking like a drunk in a street fight after closing time. ?

"Beard Hamer" love it, Trent!

Disappointed that when Shakey was asked "Do you want to keep Slimani", he answered "Well he's here"

I rate Hamer, I thought he looked good while Kasper was injured last season but that wasn't an undefendable fluke. I'd have been bollocked for beaten at the near post from that distance at under 16s never mind pro

Don't understand the Hamer and Ulloa bashing at all. Ulloa set up 2 goals tonight and Hamer, other than the strange cross that fluked in as a goal, was solid. His distribution was fantastic, hence why he's in ahead of Jaki, who doesn't quite match our game style yet.

Solid all round performance second half. Great to see the B team playing the same style of football as the A. This is so important for rotation, especially later in the season. As Claudio found out last year, if you don't give the reserves pitch time, and mould them into 1st team players, then injuries to your A team can be devastating to squad form.

We look strong throughout the the squad. Think we will do well this year.

Perfect game really if you forget the first half.

Slim was fantastic and deserved a hattrick, he was spraying balls everywhere. Confidence boosting goal for Musa and Gray scored a great solo goal.

Mendy got some game time, no injuries and Josh Knight had some game time.

I think you are translating it wrong maybe, I think he's trying to say If I didn't he wouldn't be here.

Slimani, Gray, Ndidi, Maguire, Fuchs and Chillwell 8/10

King & Hamer, 7/10

Ulloa 6/10

Dont know what to make of either Musa or Amartey tonight! ?

Ulloa i dont think i would give 6 too at best a 5 (and thats being generous)

Amartey was Ok, i actually thought he did quite well tonight.

His movement and energy were fantastic first half, someone needs to get in his head and try and make him keep it simple sometimes. His brain can't keep up with his feet.

He makes stuff happen good or bad he's a threat. There is something there, it's like trying to tame a bloody wild horse though.

Agreed 100%

 - So many kicks to no-one or out towards the full backs and over their heads for a throw-in. Hardly fantastic.

Love Shakespeare's comment on the squad's reaction to Musa's goal in the locker room - there must've been a lot of teasing involved. lol

What did he say?

Credit to Musa for his persistence. He may not always get it right in the end, but he can be a threat with his pace. Thought that Mendy looked quite good when he came on - last season he seemed to move slowly, side to side a la a crab, but tonight was encouraging. Technically he is good. Can he adjust to the demands of the Premier League. Well done Slim - should have had a hat trick - and Gray. Overall, a very good performance by a team missing its two best players, two starting midfielders, right back and centre half

This is a great sign though. Team spirit won us that Premier League trophy. That his teammates willed him on and man handled him like that is a great sign.

Fair play to the away fans as well who unlike us got behind him all game!

Slimani and Gray - Absolute class. Gray unselfish and threatening. Slimani was a revelation tonight. Great goals but his overall play and link up was fabulous and something I didn't think he had in his locker. Both will give Shakespeare a nice selection problem this weekend.

King, Ndidi, Maguire, Amartey, Fuchs very solid all night. Amartey was Simpson-esque in being really steady.

Chilwell - great going forwards but a number of mistakes at the back. Overall good but needs to concentrate a bit more defensively.

Hamer - looked unsteady.

Musa - dreadful touch in the first half and bereft of confidence. But he actually showed glimpses second half and love the grit to keep going and get a goal. A loan move is needed IMO to help his confidence.

Ulloa - played a part in two goals but was generally doggo and I think his time is up.

Mendy and Knight - reasonable cameos.

Shakespeare - got stuck into them half time and we played great.

Saved me 5 mins ?

Anyone who rates Ulloa above Slimani is wrong though, and I love Leo

Ben Hamers  distribution was fantastic??? Nice one.

He was shite. Like the majority thought he would be before the game even kicked  off.

Hamer's kicking was poor all night, he almost let in a howler through his arms in the first half and was in the wrong position for the united goal. He's fine as a backup keeper but doesnt instill confidence.

Shakey has an affable and relaxed interviewee style (and is careful not to give much away) - he must have cringed when NP was doing his stroppy and reactive shtick

First look at the opposition then do a quick reappraisal.

Did you think that Grey's goal celebration was subdued? Only Slimani came over to him and his congratulations looked half hearted.

Noticed that too, but then again he always looks sullen and moody.

Can someone please post Slimani kissing Gray. And Slimani on top of Musa.

This is my new hobby. Following Thrac around the forum posting homoerotic pictures of lcfc players in celebration.

And of different ethnicities. The man will implode.
