sdb Posted 2 September 2017 Posted 2 September 2017 Transfer request though. Such poor form. Tainted an incredible 5 years and I'm sure he didn't need to.

Sampson Posted 2 September 2017 Posted 2 September 2017 Muzzy Izzet handed in a transfer request twice when here then ran down his contract so we got nothing for him and despite people being annoyed at the time people quickly forgot about it a couple of years down the line. Neil Lennon was another who forced through a transfer. That shit will quickly be forgotten but his contributions to 2 league titles never will.
SheppyFox Posted 2 September 2017 Posted 2 September 2017 We gave him an awful lot too he got paid well, played well with Kante and worked hard, he'll probably stall at Chelsea, don't want him to though.
foxtillidrop Posted 2 September 2017 Posted 2 September 2017 Undervalued by our fans I think. This guy is a serious legend...part of promotion, the great escape and the league winning side and also came up with the vital cross to keep us in the tie at Sevilla away. Very street smart footballer who knows the dark arts of the game. He's only lost 1 football game whilst starting with Kante which says a lot. Gutted to see him go. In a bracket above the likes of Neil Lennon for me. In the same bracket as Vardy, Wes, Kasper and Riyad - players who have been through it all with the fans.
gurru991 Posted 2 September 2017 Posted 2 September 2017 Danny D was incredible for us and i wish him all the best except against us .. Thank-You Danny D.
simFox Posted 2 September 2017 Posted 2 September 2017 Doubt people would be this forgiving if we hadn't signed Silva.. .. which isn't confirmed yet
Stadt Posted 2 September 2017 Posted 2 September 2017 By far our best player in a lot of games he played for us, absolutely brilliant in 2013/14 the season I had the most fun supporting us.

Transfer request or not, we chose to sell him and got good money. There was solid interest in him and he wanted to speak to them. He was honest, professional and in my mind if it hadn't gone through, he'd have got on with it this season. The 'professional' remark assumes he genuinely does have an injury, but I can't see him not wanting to miss 3 games due to a possible move. Say he did get a long-term injury, he'd still be getting paid a fortune. Thanks for the memories Danny, always commited whilst playing and a huge part of the 15/16 squad. Best of luck.

Obviously 2015/16 was the pinnacle but in 13/14 we just played some amazing stuff and totally dominated the league with our pace and power. We also played some bloody good football! Drinky was a huge part of that, and it's also the year Vardy came into his own, and some unknown player called Riyad Mahrez appeared in our lives. Loved the kit too! Relive it here...

Relive it here... 14/15 was a great season, the way we bounced back from the playoff defeat was so good to watch. It also makes me remember how much I loved Lloyd Dyer! Drinky and James were so dominant in midfield. Ah well. Life goes on and now (hopefully) Silva/Iborra/James/N'didi/King can create a new great midfield.
norwichfox Posted 3 September 2017 Posted 3 September 2017 We did well getting that much for him, nice one Mr Rudkin, I may have to change my opinion on you...a lot depends on the final outcome of the Silva transfer . Drinkwater been good for us and was a major force during the 2015/16 Premiership winning season. Started well enough last season but dropped of after a few games with an injury and never imo got it back fully. Without doubt he's a loss to us. I hope he enjoys his new bench view of matches whilst mentally totting up how much he's earned that week, I was well saddened to see him hand in a transfer request so late in the window, may well have landed us in deep sh1t if Silva transfer gets bounced..
Filberts lovechild Posted 3 September 2017 Posted 3 September 2017 Deserves a good reception, gave more to this club than a Knockaert for example! His videos since joining Chelsea have been so cringe tho. Shame I doubt we'll see much football from him the next few years
Sunbury Fox Posted 3 September 2017 Posted 3 September 2017 Very good player on his day and clearly instrumental in our 2 title wins during his time here. But his form can fluctuate massively and I do feel that the way he forced through a move was a little disrespectful, which leaves a sour taste in the mouth. Overall, he will go down as a legend, though, as all of the regulars in 15/16 will. Consequently, I won't be booing him next Saturday, in the unlikely event he even plays for them.
GaelicFox Posted 3 September 2017 Posted 3 September 2017 35m is a gift really thanks Chelsea good luck Danny !

Chico1958 Posted 3 September 2017 Posted 3 September 2017 To be fair I was going to write ........... Danny who ? He's dead to me. But after seeing some of the responses I will begrudgingly admit the kids done well for us. Still a little dissapointed about the request and the miraculous recovery from injury to pass the fitness test. I just hope he doesn't end up sat on his arse for the next 7 months and remember he was Chelsea's third choice signing. Leaving us waiting for International Clearence on his replacement.

So you think he just faked the injury unbeknownst to Shakespeare, the physios etc? You don't think he could've had a minor injury and club and player didn't want to risk jeopardising a move? Could he maybe still be injured but the Chelsea medical staff judged it to be minor? Don't be that naïve and think Drinkwater has played the club and staff. All parties have been in on this at worst.
