I think a nation has every right to protect its borders how ever it wants to. Including building a massive big wall if it so chooses.

( However, im also in favor of a much more open and liberal Asylum policy).

Not sure if this is an unpopular opinion, something that grinds my gears or just a getting old rant, but here goes.

World Cups - I love sport and will watch anything, and I love it when the World Cup comes around.

However, the two that are on at the movement Cricket and Rugby are really dragging it out.

The Rugby World Cup has been going for a month already and we’ve only just finished the group stages.

The Cricket World Cup - month from now the group stage will still be going on - just get to the good stuff where the top teams are playing each other at the pinnacle of the sport.

A 9 game group stage is ridiculous, it will lead to a lot of dead rubbers as we should be at the point we are getting excited.

I get the need to have teams like Portugal and Uruguay etc in the rugby and teams like the Netherlands in the cricket, but surely there is a better format that can get to the knock out stuff quicker?

It will be the same when the Champions League changes the format, it just takes away the enjoyment the longer it goes on.

You could argue that cricket is such a small tournament numbers wise, that bar The Netherlands (who will still be competitive), it's very much top sides playing each other every match. Agree that they are definitely dragging the opening stage out though.

Be honest. You're just bitter because Australia have gone out early alongside the mighty Portugal (who beat the team that knocked you out) and you've still got weeks and weeks of rugby world cup to go.

(For me) The World Cup and Euros are popular because you get an intense amount of football so quickly. Three games, sometimes four games a day for about 10-12 days straight. You can barely even catch your breath after some games before the next one starts, and then the next day there's three more of the fvckers to watch and enjoy. Everyone gets in on it, and suddenly Colombia v Senegal is good TV at 7:30pm on ITV1.

Then they have a break for the knockouts and you're like "where the fvck is the football!?!?!?" and it's taken away from you before coming back for intense knockout fixtures, before it disappears from your life leaving you desolate*

Football benefits from the rest period able to be shorter, and games only taking 90 mins. It's brilliant, even if FIFA are determined to ruin it with 48 teams.

*Just to say this was not my experience last year for the Qatar WC. Barely engaged with that tournament.

Every driver in the UK should be made to do a mandatory speed awareness course every 5-7 years* (either virtually or in the classroom)

*Regardless of if they've been caught speeding or not

Every driver should have to pass a motorbike test before being allowed anywhere near a car as it would make them appreciate the value of awareness and the danger they’re going to go on and pose.

Youths delivering fast food on mopeds should be made to pass a test before they can be employed.

The whole CBT thing should be scrapped - kids think that they have skills when all it taught them was to go in a straight line and stop in a car park.

And while it’s still going, they should be failed for rocking up in trainers and a jumper with an I’ll-fitting helmet.

It is, but after 3 or 4 games it will be clear the teams at the bottom of the pool who won’t be qualifying for the semis. Which leads to the dead rubbers.

Two groups of 5 or even an expanded tournament with 4 groups of 4 would have been more interesting.

9 group games I just feel loses what a tournament should be.

Nah, it’s time to let the minnows like Portugal and Australia go and let the big teams play each other like Wales v Argentina.

I saw a bloke earlier riding his bike and the front of his helmet must've been an inch or two behind his hairline. I don't understand how you can have one on so badly and not realise there's a problem.

If not specifically a speed awareness course, some sort of course is absolutely needed. Before you're able to renew your license, you should be required to do some mandatory learning. It's all too easy to forget why it's important to drive safely

Sorry, can't agree with this.

Golf is played by nearly 70 million people across the world and has a history dating back much before football, cricket and rugby. It's the ultimate mental test and the desire to improve but never master the game makes it fantastically frustrating and enjoyable at the same time.

This years Ryder Cup was the most watched ever and the game continues to grow globally. If you've played the game and have the bug for it you'll realise how addictive it is.

If anything, golf is the most underrated sport ever.

I care little and will not countenance opinions to the contrary.

You need to make that move to Italy ASAP as you are quite clearly in need of civilizing.

Agree - I'm not a golfer, but I know plenty that are. It's great to watch and a craft that takes years to get half decent at. Mentally demanding too.

There's no way I'm putting a brick up your arse just to drive a car - no matter how bad public transport is
