majaco Posted 12 September 2017 Posted 12 September 2017 I fear Drinkwater has murdered his own career. He is not even a Champions League sub
foxinsocks Posted 12 September 2017 Posted 12 September 2017 I think conte is making a point to the advisors... poor danny
Legend_in_blue Posted 12 September 2017 Posted 12 September 2017 But at least he'll get picked regularly for England now. It's not as if they don't have a wealth of world class talent to choose from...
Webbo Posted 12 September 2017 Posted 12 September 2017 Poor old Danny and only an extra £40k a week to compensate.

m4DD0gg Posted 12 September 2017 Posted 12 September 2017 Conte didnt and does not want him, pretty simple really.

fazzyfox Posted 12 September 2017 Posted 12 September 2017 Last season he held his own in the champions league, in this seasons champions league the only time he'll be holding his own at a high level will be when he goes for a half time slash in the main stands upstairs toilets.
AyewJoking Posted 12 September 2017 Posted 12 September 2017 calm down boys, if he isnt playing champions league, the buy back clause will only be 60M

foxes_rule1978 Posted 12 September 2017 Posted 12 September 2017 He isn't going to get much playing time, get him back on loan in January

GaelicFox Posted 12 September 2017 Posted 12 September 2017 Are people nuts ? He doesn't deserve to be anywhere other than off that bench he is bang average and Conte never wanted him stinkwater just sunk !

You'd think ppl would learn after all these years. ...apparently not.

Tuna Posted 12 September 2017 Posted 12 September 2017 So what, it's none of our business. I predicted when he went he'd barely play and be shipped off on loan in about 12-18 months to Stoke.

Guest Posted 13 September 2017 Posted 13 September 2017 I still think Drinkwater is great. Wouldn't really expect him to be in one of the world's top teams just a week after arriving, having not trained much with the team and being short on match fitness. You lot can use your hate to create a new storyline for him but I'm happy he was a Leicester footballer and I wish him only the best. He'll be controlling that Chelsea midfield soon.
Lovejoy Posted 13 September 2017 Posted 13 September 2017 Is there going to be a new thread for every Chelsea game with a Drinkwater update?
purpleronnie Posted 13 September 2017 Posted 13 September 2017 Well I have heard from someone involved at the club that DD is already questioning his move. Apparently he said that barely anyone speaks English in the dressing room and they don't train until the afternoon which he doesn't like as he was used to training in the mornings. Obviously I got this info 2nd hand so have no idea if there's anything to it.
