Bournemouth Away Pre Match Thread

Must win, simple as that.

Approach it like we did Huddersfield away and we'll be beaten.

Lose this and it'll be difficult to imagine Shakey lasting the season.

Win and it'll be the first time we've beaten these so could herald a significant upturn in our fortunes.

I know it might sound fickle of me... But it's strange how these things can hinge on the finest of margins.

We'll have a better idea how we stand after this match. We never get anything against these but they've started really poorly. A win here could start a bit of momentum.

Bottom of the table clash, cannot afford to play it safe and  go for a safe point, we need to get our season started.

They are at rock bottom confidence wise, turn up and go at them.

If we go and set up not to lose, and not go out to continue their poor start, Shakespeare can **** off.

Perfect game for Iborra and nacho to start, but my biggest criticism is he refuses to change either the team or tactics

Huge game and I’d agree that a loss will put huge pressure on CS. They have a good record against us recently too.

But we have shown plenty of glimpses. Not sure what the result will be but we are capable of the win.

Same back 4 as I thought they were fantastic, especially considering our midfield were often easily bypassed.

Hoping N'didi was just a little fatigued as I don't want to see King start again. Iborra for King.

Gray has to start, Mahrez was totally ineffective again and left Simpson exposed many times.

Still want to see what Iheanacho can offer as a no.10, but Okazaki did have a good game and so probably deserves another start.

Don't want to see that same schoolboy error from Shakey by loading us with Strikers, Keep the shape and balance next time!

Think we will win this one.

Excellent post.... agree entirely.

Let' hope Shakespeare goes for it .... but probably be same old, same old.

For the love of God please start with Gray. I'm a huge fan of Mahrez but there comes a point when you have to stop hoping for some magic and accept that he hasn't produced any for a good while now. Demi deserves a start, no question.

If we lose I recon the Chairman will make a move on Shakespeare - maybe try to bring in someone above him

Did'nt Liverpool bring in Klopp around October time in his first season? From memory, I think they finished around 9th.

Assuming we lose, there'd still be time to bring someone new in if they make a move soon.

Full strength (?):

Schmeichel.

Simpson

Morgan

Maguire

Fuchs

Ndidi

Iborra

Mahrez

Okazaki

Gray

Vardy

How can you start Mahrez and drop Albrighton after today?

I think you've got to keep Mahrez in for now, we all know what he can do when he's on his game. If there was ever a game to start Gray in front of Albrighton it's this one, we can afford to be a bit less defensive against these.

100% chance we play 442, Okazaki is spent after 45, Iheanacho has little effect second half, the midfield is outnumbered and outpassed, Albrighton crosses from half way to the keeper at least 5 times.

99% chance Craig says ultimately at least 10 times in the post match interview.

95% chance Fuchs comes back, Maguire gets caught in posession at least 3 times.

75% chance Gray starts in place of Mahrez.

15% chance Gray starts in place of Albrighton.

Bournemouth are a class side who play good passing attractive football, exactly the opposite of the type of team we need to play right now.

It's difficult to see beyond a Bournemouth win here.  Even that guy from Liverpool they bought is looking good for them, Ibe.

352. Defence can't get carried away and cross the half line and lose possession. We wont get overrun in midfield and supply is better for our front two. 3 points.

Stoke matched up to Chelsea todsy wirh 352 and got tonked.  We will never play 352.
