Bournemouth Away Pre Match Thread

Will be the same team that started vs Liverpool and it will end in a draw with Shakey very pleased with a 'result'.

Games like this whilst people are saying aren't must win but they are - after the start we've had we need to start picking up wins and fast otherwise trouble beckons.

I wish people would stop exaggerating using terms like "must win" games.

A must win is the last day of the season when you are a point off relegation, not half a dozen games into the season in October.

It all depends how strong your pain threshold is. This is agony right now for some and they need it to end, others who are more faithful in our club and forever positive probably realise that we aren't in as much bother as some (me) would make out. It's not so much I think we're in freefall like we were in January and February under Ranieri, I think Shakespeare ought to keep us up comfortably but that isn't good enough by a long stretch and it's a must win game for me as he needs to show me that he's better than ordinary and win games like this. Our away record under him is poor, he needs to start improving a lot of things in results, performances and tactics.

Agree it will be the same team, same midfield and same tactics.  We are stuck rigidly in a 442.  This is a must win game for various reasons.  Its a pity we cant swap managers before kick off I rate Eddie Howe.

He's changed absolutely nothing since he's taken over. There's no identity to his methods. He's copying Pearson and Ranieri, which you could argue served us well so why not but given how we badly fell under both managers before a revival from Pearson in 14/15 and from Shakespeare as caretaker you could clearly see we need to try ways of playing to improve. It just smacks of inexperience and I don't believe in this league with what's at stake that you should be given this gig to cut your teeth. The saddest part of it all is, I think we'll make the change soon and that will be the end of his time with our club but there's little other option. I expect better than what he's giving us.

Vichai: Are u serious!

Rudkin: How can I help?

Vichai: Sack Shakespeare.

Rudkin: Breathes a sigh of relief. (Talks to himself thank f**k Silva hasn't gone through yet)

If we're serious about staying in the Premier League it should be

Kasper

Simpson

Morgan

McGuire

Chilwell

Iborra

N'didi

Albrighton

Gray

Shinji

Vardy

KIng         Ndidi

Gray                        Albrighton

Our usual style rarely works against Bournemouth. Time for something different that aims to solve the central midfield issue.

Iborra will adapt much better within a more familiar midfield three. He can also move from being DM to AM depending on how the match is going.

Gray deserves a chance after making things happen as a sub on Saturday.

Must win means must win though, that's the idea of the phrase. If we draw at Bournemouth we aren't packing up for the season and accepting we are down as we didn't win.

The exaggeration society indulges in now is terrible.

Its gonna be 442 with mahrez starting coz shakey don't have the guts to change. And then it will end in 3-0 to us courtesy of a vardy hat trick?

I agree with everything you've said, but at the time I recon that's what most people wanted (including the owners) - i.e. To go back to where we were.

It did the trick at the time - but you're right, it's not enough now...

Serious. Interested to know who you'd swap and why...

i think... i got confused with your layout of your 4 i assume you meant albrighton on wing instead of centre lollol

we need a win and a performance would be great but Shakey has got to do something!. we have the players and he needs to get the best out of them!

I think you're right.

We needed to get back yo where we were.

But now we need to kick on.  That may require different formations. ... it certsinly requires getting bew players up to speed. .  And i think it needs a much more positive approach to our tactics to get something out of games.

Very interesting game to come and crucial for Shakey. Let's see how he's going to shape up the team.

                          Kasper

          Simpson Morgan Maguire Fuchs

                        Iborra Ndidi

            Gray     Okazaki     Albrighton

                            Vardy

The irony being there that the same criticisms apply to Eddie Howe on the South Coast.

All Bournemouth have to do is sit back and counter. Our passing is so bad they'll get loads of joy if they put King up against our slow defenders. They just have to keep Mahrez quiet and not give Vardy any space, and job done.

A 6/10 performance from Bournemouth wins it for them comfortably, how depressing is that.

Not having it, they're fvcking shit :P

I'm sick of this setting us up defensively to not concede garbage. We've conceded the second most goals in the division.

Let's have a bloody go and beat them with confident, attacking football.
