Are we though? Giving Shakey the job suggests otherwise.

I agree in hindsight giving the job to Shakey is an error but Dyche is going to be another Allardyce/Pulis bouncing between lower mid table sides

I've said for ages that I think he'd be a very good appointment for us. Yes he's a bit of a knob but you don't need your manager to be loveable, you need him to get results and Dyche would do that IMHO. I think our chance to appoint a top manager (for now at least) went with out the window with the fiasco of last season. We're not too good or too big for Dyche, he is about our level right now.

How come nobody is complaining about us selling Chris Wood the way they do about Tom Lawrence?

Not really the same situations.

At the time he didn't look good enough and we had better options. It's taken him a good couple of years to develop his game for this level. Easy to say in hindsight.

We are short-staffed in midfield and we knew that, Lawrence was in form whereas none of our other players were. So letting Lawrence go was a bad decision in my eyes.

Dyche is good at playing the 'small club, no money' card, it works for him. He can't do that here. He'll be joining a club punching below it's weight.

He's only ever managed smaller clubs so it's hard to say how he'd do at a more ambitious one.

Brilliant to have Berti still playing, more than 40 years after he appeared in a World Cup Final - He must in his seventies!

As for the Dyche bit, we seriously need to be looking for someone who's been there and got the T-Shirt.

Lose to Brom and the Shakespeares a dead man walking................ Just not Pearson :please:

Dyche, no thanks, apart from being happy at Burnley I don't think he could take Leicester any further.

Ancelotti, European and EPL experince and a wealth of contacts.

I would settle for anyone that has what Shakespeare hasn't, experience and a game plan.

These players have what it takes to finish mid table if organised.

I like him, in fact as daft as its sounds I'd luv to see him as England manager better than the current clown we've got now. As Leicester boss? I'm not sure really... certainly get a reaction from the players but I feel the best he could take is to be 11th or 12th. Considering what we've experienced in the last two or three years I think the owners would want more.

Please tell me why he would leave Burnley after building it over so many years?

So many people think we can just cherry pick managers who are in work, Howe, Benetez, Wagner, now this.

Who is cherry picking...???? .

This is a forum...discussion forum..After the dross posts Dyche got on here, I just thought it was an interesting point

Of thought, comparison, or what ever floats your boat for discussion. Dont put any presumptions into it, and because

Football is football..Why not mention his PL career , and compare lifes struggles and possibilities.....

We the fans can be logical , illogical, on tact, Morally , imorally discuss ideas any way or how, without Fifa, Eufa, FA rules, and arm bending,

being any part of our ideas....

So stick that in your high fluted cigar..

Dyche strikes me as a manager that will excel at a smaller club with a tight budget.

Put him in charge of a bigger club or one with big potential and money to spend and he's suddenly out of his depth.

No proof just get it from his overall small time attitude.

If we're going to move Shakespeare out and aim for a regular Euro spot then we need someone with a decent pedigree with experience of managing a bigger club. That's not to say someone who will waste a lot of money

I usually ride and agree with your threads and Posts, even this one has its warranted idea or thought...

But...I still want to see us consolidate, a Top half PL position, before, has many are doing, chasing down

A covetted European spot...So far after winning the title, we are Light years away, from realising, even getting a tap at it...

For me lets see if we can realise, and turn over decent performances, that earns a club the right

to 1st seen to chase top 6-8....Evertons last 10yr history proves how damn difficult it is to even

touch those boundaries of European qualification.

Stoke lost 7-2 yesterday...they are nearer, than we are...

Wood's come a long long way since we sold him, I didn't want to get rid at the time but I didn't think it was a huge loss. Pleased for him. Lawrence - we've never given him enough game time to really see what he's capable of (for different reasons I didn't kick up much of a stink about him leaving)

Back on topic - no, the guy's an absolute mug. Going down is potentially one thing, imagine going down AND having Chump Change in charge. I'd have to CTL ALT DELETE the whole being-interested-in-football malarky.

Sean Dyche I would welcome with open arms. His tactical nous has been proven, and has done well on both sides of the transfer market. Hes even given our NZealander chris Woods a new PL career.Kept faith with Vogts, through his injury crisis. Slowly, slowly his style is turning out to be quite successful. He and Burnley have earnt and deserve their high roller position in the P.league. Every month that goes by I am getting to admire Dyche even more.

Now CS, get on your bike start pedalling and build something simular with Leicester.

I dont want to see you sitting waiting for Silva, there is a fairnes within the fans and the club to allow and give you time.If We reach 15-18 games with no performance swing, and positive results....everybody has wasted 9 months..
