Vacamion Posted 10 November 2017 Posted 10 November 2017 We are crying out for someone to flick it round the corner for Vardy to chase. If we are going to pass it 15 times round our defence before lumping it up, we might as well not select Vardy. Sigh.

He hasn't done much wrong really but he also hasn't done much which is the problem. That was a pass back surely? Not sure if he has a phobia about passing to Vardy or he's just shit, but Vardys been in some good positions but Livermore just won't pass to him.
Tuna Posted 10 November 2017 Posted 10 November 2017 Has Hoddle decided which Spurs player will be man of the match yet?
trabuch Posted 10 November 2017 Posted 10 November 2017 Just now, Tuna said: Good pass from Maguire there! Passed it forward - he'll not be picked again...It's not the England way.
Izzy Posted 10 November 2017 Posted 10 November 2017 The paper aeroplanes are making an appearance by the sound of it
Vacamion Posted 10 November 2017 Posted 10 November 2017 At present, Maguire is England's most creative midfielder.

Gives the midfield some defensive cover and grit. Also can play it forward unlike Jordan Henderson who is woeful in every single way. Fair enough... he seems to be only OKAY at many things though, like tacking and passing. But not great in any areas. I guess he's the best of bad bunch of midfielders.
foxfanazer Posted 10 November 2017 Posted 10 November 2017 Maguire has done his chances no harm at all tonight
Vardinio'sCat Posted 10 November 2017 Posted 10 November 2017 If I just close my eyes a bit, so it's bit misty, I would swear we had a giant Beckenbauer in an England shirt!

I don't really see him as a forward thinking player to be honest. Not exactly the creative type. But he'll put the effort in and that'll do us a he'll of a lot more good than having half arsed players on the pitch. Or Jordan Henderson of course. Lingard ? just as Southgate had done really well
Farrington fox Posted 10 November 2017 Posted 10 November 2017 Maguire carries on like this and he’ll make that position his at the world cup, excellent performance.

trabuch Posted 10 November 2017 Posted 10 November 2017 Loftus cheek MOTM by Hoddle. Not even an honourable mention for Maguire. It was between those 2 I suppose.

Notice he slots in for defenders that have stepped out A lot. Always assures some stability and cover. Also not gonna bash a 'name' so to speak that actually tries

Vacamion Posted 10 November 2017 Posted 10 November 2017 Cork has been hilarious since he came on. Wearing clown shoes.
HybridFox Posted 10 November 2017 Posted 10 November 2017 Maguire may well be on that plane come the end of summer. Didn't think he'd have a realistic chance this world cup before but looks so comfortable!
Nalis Posted 10 November 2017 Posted 10 November 2017 A 3 man defence of Jones, Stones and Maguire would actually be decent in the world cup to be fair. Sadly Cahill will be forced in somehow.
