Not often I agree with anyone that ends up abusing other FT members. But in this case +1 everything you've said is correct.

It’s not often anyone ever agrees with me.

I’m thinking profanity and abuse to FT members is probably the way forward then.

I'm genuinely surprised.

I thought Silva was meant to be very very good? As in, get him fit and then straight into the first team to control the midfield?

What's occurring?

Going the way most players we sign go, on the bench and eventually off on loan.

Baffling isn’t it.

I was told the players were impressed with him; they couldnt believe how good he was in training, so I’m a little perplexed as to what’s going on.

Weve not seen enough so far to make a judgement in terms of how good he is; he has had no significant game time.

He’s looked ordinary in a few spells and looked a very good class act on his debut (5mins!) and the first half against Swansea.

There has to have been some bust up I would have thought. I can’t see why he wouldn’t have come on in the second half on Saturday otherwise.

There is always the possibility that Puel is either an arsehole or is simply making the wrong decisions?

Was we ever told what it was about Musa that impressed the players. May have just been in the shower after training.

People heard the name silva and thought it was the other one who plays for portugal.

He does play for Portugal and started in their Euro 2016 Cup final win.

People saying he isn't 'physical enough', it's laughable when you can see he has the potential there to be a great premier league midfielder. De Gea wasn't 'physical enough' either when he first arrived but no one would doubt now that he is one of the best keepers in the world. Players aren't going to adjust to the league from the sidelines, and, the perfect opportunity for them to gain confidence is surely at home to relegation threatened or mid-table sides.

I know he did, so does Barnardo Silva and Andre Silva though,

Gotta feel bad for him, came here and couldn't play for 4 months, he's been able to play for 2 months and has barely played anyway...

Should things stay in this state he's off this summer. Shambles.

Jeez, he may or may not end up a good player but he needs more time.  I would like to see him start a few games and see how he goes.  He must be a good player, his situation has been awful and I suppose many players would struggle to keep perfectly fit with 4 months out.  It is a little confusing why he has not been given more time, I can only assume his match fitness is not quite there.  I don't really buy the "not physical enough" stuff as I think it is an obsession that has held the British game back for years (physicality over skill).  He may need time to adjust but he'll do it if given the chance I'm sure.  We'll see, I hope he makes it here because he is an absolute hot piece of ass.

I’m not sure why Jaymo is getting the stick he is on this forum.

As you say he’s a tryer, a decent player, but he’s not creative enough as you say;

he has limitations.

It makes more sense to me that the bloke who is picking him ahead of Silva should be the one getting it in the neck not James himself.

To all those laying in to MJ; it’s  the ****ing manager who needs to feel your wrath and get the stick.

Thick twats!

Jaymo????????

David Silva isn’t physical yet he’s one of the greatest premier league players ever

Exactly. Most English football fans still have this old school mentality that all footballers have to be big, strong and aggressive to succeed.

Silva, Portuguese international, Iborra, Seville Captain, Dragovic, Austrian international, Fuchs, Austrian international, Kaputska Polish international, Kramaric Croatian international, Lawrence Welsh international,  none of them regular starters at the King Power......we are like Room 101 for international footballers....they come here never to be seen again....

I mean:

  • Schmeichel: Danish international
  • Maguire: English international
  • Morgan: Jamaican international
  • Ndidi: Nigerian international
  • Mahrez: Algerian international
  • Okazaki: Japanese international
  • Vardy: English international

All frequently start for us.

If there are concerns about how he'll adapt, physically, to the premier league, what were we thinking signing him in the first place?

Big questions still unanswered on our transfer policy.

Who is signing the players? Is it just a case of lets get him in and hopefully the coach/manager will accommodate them, fit them in?

The long list of expensive failures continues and looks set to do so.

If I were the owners I'd be asking questions as to what is going on.

Why the manager? The owners employed him, if he's not good enough ****ing Top should get the stick.

Don't forget Gokhan Inler...went from Swiss international captain, going to the world cup to not even a bench warmer here then going to play in Turkey.

Reg didn’t say we have no internationals playing?

No, but he implied they come and never play, probably a joke, but still, not very fair.

Ironically we could have done with him last season. Let him go because he wasn't getting any gametime with Kante/Drinkwater running the show
