It will always be unfashionable to pick leicester player's for england. Drink water should of gone to euro 16 but didnt.

True yet Hodgson and Neville felt an unfit Jack Wiltshire was a better option!?

Agreed. Untalented and limited but a grafter no doubt

Most underrated player on this forum....

Shame he even has decenters....perplexes me!!

He does seem to have good and poor patches, but you just know you will always get a totally committed and energetic display with him. He's not as bad on the ball as one might think and has a decent turn of pace. I do think he could become gradually more influential in a halfway central role, simply because he's rarely a goal threat out wide and demonstrated beautiful long-range passing skills the other day.

Will always like the bloke and appreciate his contribution here.

Albrighton has good runs and bad runs. Right now he's on a bloody good run. Always committed. Not as technically gifted as Mahrez or Gray but produces more than Gray. I'm convinced Gray will get an England cap before Albrighton, unfortunately for Marc.

I came on to the forum to sing Albrightons praises and im glad to see his thread active in a positive way.

For me he was the MOTM. Such an unsung hero of our club. Never was a his last minute goal more deserved.

Well done Marc..

Big fan of the bloke, a lot of what he does goes unrewarded. He's got a great delivery on him and tracks back really well for a winger. Why he hasn't had an England call up is beyond me when you see some of the names that have been in there in recent months!

Feel bad for him.. not saying he should play for England but if you look at the serious amount of shit that have had call ups recently and he will probably never even get a cap.

My love for him knows no bounds.

My favourite player at the club. Industry and work rate is important but he's shown he has the quality to match.

There's a reason he's always in the picture. Class again yesterday.

Wingers run hot and cold a lot but you can always count on him to at least run himself to the ground.

Get him on that bloody plane Gareth!!!

When Albrighton goes through shit form he looks so bad. I called for him to be dropped earlier in the season and rightly so. When Puel first came in and dropped him I was pleased, but I'm also pleased now his form is good again. His performances recently have deserved a goal and I was pleased he got one yesterday.

Not true though. Maguire never played for England when he was at Hull yet as soon as we bought him he got a call up. Both Vardy and Drinkwater made their senior debuts for England while at Leicester.

I don't know why people speak as if we're hard done to. In the last decade we've generally been playing in the second tier, including a spell in the third tier, so I wouldn't call it unfashionable at all. We're just like any other club our size - most England players ar called up from the big sides.

I notice they keep saying Lingard is in great form, I haven't seen the stats, but Albrighton is defnitely in better form than that fraudster.

I'm sorry to disagree, but although I'm no fan of his, he's no fraud. I wish people would find a different word to dismiss players with.

When he goes through a bad patch he is shocking. Deservedly dropped for the Everton game in October after 10 games of utter dross by him. Credit to him for coming back stronger and is playing well now. He will inevitably have another run of games where his only contribution is booting the ball out of play for no reason, but he will come back again.

Solid pro and one of the best free transfers this club has ever made.

Albrighton is the man. He's a willing and honest player who doesn't go beyond his means; he's clearly well-liked in the dressing room; he's produced so many incredible moments for the club and played a huge role in our recent success. Sure, he's not a perfect player but, he's the most beloved player of every "yer da," so that has to count for something, haha.

I had the pleasure of having a brief conversation with him out in California, and he was genuinely engaged and came across like someone who is grateful for his profession and the fans who watch him play. He certainly does not take his job at LCFC for granted; we're very lucky to have a guy like him to cheer on.

Plus in recent times there's not many English players that have scored in the champions league and scored twice in the whole tournament, Sterling of course can imagine as scored a few for Man City but the number is getting shorter. With more top four clubs fielding fewer english.

I dunno maybe its time for players to come out and actually say there ready and waiting to be called up. Instead of being modest.

He has written himself into the LCFC history book by scoring our first ever champions league goal and also for the winner vs Sevilla. Consistent, works hard and effective. Club legend.

He deserves a call up in my opinion, and is a Milner like squad type player in my eyes. I hope he doesn't get a token Leon Osman like call up, as he deserves more than that.

Reminds me more and more of Steve Guppy.

I haven't seen a Leicester player with such crossing ability for a long, long time.

Has been outstanding starting with the West Ham away game, has scored his two goals and given five of his six assists since then.
