:scarf: All the premier league teams has a no 10 why Leicester doesn’t have ? Why Leicester is  The only team who build her game in a player who is left winger  ? The left winger should help no 9 to score ! The only big team I know who build her team around a winger is Real Madrid with Christiano Ronaldo and he scores not building the attack’s  !!! So why R Mahres is playing both roles no 11 and no 10 ? Is it time for Leicester to bring a good no 10 to bring Freedhome to both Mahrez and Albrighton if we want go to top 6 and participate to European league ? Is it the time where Leicester should decide to stay up or go down in few years ? Thx for reading

Yeah we've been asking for one for years. The 'creative midfielder' request is in literally every 'what do you want this window?' Thread since 2010.

Nigel never wanted too many flair players, by his own admission because you have to carry them. It's seemingly been the same mentality of all other managers we've had since him.

If we could keep the ball better, defend resolutely and accommodate a few fair players, I agree we would break into the top 6. We'd also need a lot of money, a revamp in playing style, and be Barcelona!!!

I agree time to rebuild the team when you have so much qualities and players . Leicester need just two or maybe three good players ( I personally thing the defense is good ! The attak is brilliant . The midfielder is just ok ( Silva &Ibora are good but they need a finisher to give the assist to the attacker’s and Leicester can be top 6 )

This is actually a good point.

I have always felt that Mahrez is somewhat wasted on the wing. He's not a crosser like Albrighton, or a speed merchant like Gray. His best work is when he cuts inside and is faced with defenders backing off him.

Like all dangerous players, you need to make sure he's picking the ball up in dangerous positions. He often finds himself out wide on the halfway line and he's usually pretty useless in that situation.

Having said that, we seem to work so well with Okazaki just behind Vardy that maybe the team is better off with Mahrez out wide, even if as an idividual he is slightly stifled.

Might be somehing to do because he is our best player by a mile .

Never mind the number he has best position to be most effective.

Id swop Shinzi for somebody better but no one stands out.

Genuinely 100% what I thought this thread was gonna be when I saw the title. Now I'm disappointed

Cutting in from the right wing onto his left foot hasn't bore any fruits? I must have miss understood surely.

You build teams according to the players you have and can sign.

There are not a lot of 10's that are available to Leicester, Mahrez is as close as weve got so we build around him. It will be interssting when he has gone to see how we begin to rebuild.

Interesting thread and post.

It would be interesting (and depressing as hopefully he never leaves) to see what we would do if Mahrez left.  Would we revert to playing two, more orthodox wide players (say Gray and Albrighton) and bring in a number 10 for Okazaki?  Or try and find a like for like for Mahrez and keep the tactics the same?  The problem is that our team is so well honed from our title winning season and how we set up during it that we have struggled to evolve or move away from the formation so we would have to allow time and patience to adapt if Mahrez did leave.  Patience is something I don't see a lot of on this forum.  Maybe having a kind of "inside right false number 9 faux number 10 inverted creative playmaker catenaccio splitting trequartista winger" makes it harder for opposition players to nullify him?

Buggered if I know. X
