Getting Matt Mills out and Wes Morgan in was superb business by Pearson or Walsh or whoever. When on form he's been a tremendous player for us. Had his tough times but, on balance, he's been a huge success.

As and when he does go, I hope we get the chance to give him the send-off he deserves.

He played consistently and excellently throughout our title winning season.

He lead the team. He's the first fox to lift the Premier League trophy. He is a legend.

When we signed Huth, Morgan was transformed. I don't know whether it was Huth's presence and defensive intelligence, coaching or Big Wes himself looking at his game and adapting but from that moment on he became the defender we always wanted him to be. His potential was unlocked from that moment. Even this year before his injury he was playing superbly - and that was without Huth anywhere near him but his heir apparent - Maguire.

Let's face it in 500 years time when they ask who our best ever defensive partnerships were Morgan & Huth will be one of, if not the first, pairing your great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandkids are gonna talk about.

I don't understand why folk don't rate him highly as a captain. Just because he isn't screaming and shouting and barking orders it doesn't make him any less inspirational. He is obviously a role model professional, leads by example, always gives everything, has ridiculously high standards and expects the same from others. There is no surprise that we have a great team spirit which he is at the centre of. Wes Morgan has been and probably will be our best ever captain. Love you Wes.

Will always be remembered in my mind at least. WHEN he comes back from injury, i am looking forward to him (and Huth) fighting for there spot in the first 11.

But in all honesty, ignoring sentiment i just want the best player on form player to play.

We have a choice now and its something we prob not seen much of before ... lots of talent in the squad.

Nice time to be a supporter :D

Dude CAPTAINED AND PLAYED EVERY MINUTE on a PREMIER LEAGUE WINNING LEICESTER CITY known for its togetherness and defensive strength.

Can’t think of a better season by a captain in soccer history.

He’s been on the whole phenomenal for us, I fear for his position long term now however, Father Time and all.

Blimey Sheps all this talking sense malarkey is going to turn you into an FT legend.

34 today. Happy birthday Wes.

Was going to like that but a sad reminder that the greatest CB pairing we have ever had are getting on. Huth, the longer he is out, and the recurring injury doesn't bode well for him becoming a regular again. Still, C'est la vie. We seem to be replacing well. Drago and Maguire are looking really good. Big shoes to fill though.

Edit liked it anyway. Happy Birthday, Captain Morgan.

All this "too old" talk....jeez, he's less than half my age and  I can still lift a full can of Stella.....deffo a legend in my eyes, must be kept, even if it's as a "blocking coach"
