So no source then. Last this we need is people making up rumours that will end up on shit sites like 100%lcfc getting all the Muppets behind them

A source is someone who works at the club and is related to the owners. He was sat in an executive box with my dad on Saturday.

No.

For several reasons, some I can point the finger at him for, other reasons are beyond his control - which is another discussion - other personnel and then I have to question how much of say he (Or any manager who comes in for that matter) has on transfers and recruitment.

The club need's an overhaul from players to management to recruitment.

The main reasons against him are I worry about who he'll bring in, this boring, ineffective football could be blamed on what he currently has to work with but shouldn't he be working with what he's got and using it to it's potential. Southampton weren't happy with the style he played, boring, lack of goals, he had an arguement there though - He didn't have much of an attacking threat, same here - except he doesn't have that arguement so in 2 jobs he's failed to get the best out of what he's got.

So, bringing players in, does it fill me with confidence, does it get me exciting from what I can expect from him? Not at all, i'm dreading it, it actually scares me and I can't look forward to next season, I'm calling it now, if he's still with us in the summer, brings 'his' players in, we're gonna be lumbered with expensive players that don't fit us and won't play, he'll get sacked and the next manager will come in and have to deal with them.

That's not to mention out poor recruitment team - Who i've placed full blame with the 2(+ maybe) seasons so i'm not gonna change now and use it as a stick to throw at Puel.

I said when Shakespeare got sacked and Puel came in, whilst Rudkin and his team are still in place sacking managers is pointless because the managers are being failed by Rudkin and his team.

We're treading water in many aspects.

No, no we weren't (Unless i'm looking at dodgy stats), we were in the relegation zone when Shakespeare got sacked, Appleton took over for the Swansea game which we won which lifted us to 14th, then Puel took over, won 1 game, took us to 11th, it then took 7 weeks to get us 8th, we've pretty much stayed there ever since - Our rise/plateau for me is due to a bang average league - Likewise Burnley went nearly 2 months without winning and stayed 7th.

I'm sorry FWIW I like think you're a good poster Stan but i've seen a few people claim that and i've not bit until now, unfortunately it's you i've quoted! lol

ha, fair enough. My memory failed me as I forgot Appleton took charge of the Swansea game which lifted us out.

I agree about the standard of other teams in the league. Does make it more annoying that we haven't been able to push on. Burnley staying in 7th reminds me of Derby in the Championship where they couldn't win for ages yet are still in with a shout of the play-offs.

I do wonder what the feeling will be like next Saturday should we play well and beat Burnley...

Posted

I think so. It's painful at the minute but I imagine he's just trying to figure out who looks like they'll be up for the job next season. I really want to see us make a pretty big overhaul of the squad.

If we go into next season with only a couple of changes to the squad, when it's clear we've got a set of players incapable of playing the managers tactics to decent effect, then the people in charge of the football side of the club should all be sacked off.

If it means losing players at a fairly big loss then so be it. To quote the great Frank Reynolds - "We gotta start cutting the crust off this sh*t sandwich!"

Right calmed down since yesterday.

Do I think he should be sacked ??

No

give him atleast till the end of the season, the brand of football is dull and I think we should be doing much better than we are.

Do I think another manager would have more of a improvement on the squad that we have? Yes in fact I think micheal Appleton would get more out of the players we have than what puel is.

The problem is if puel gets a lot of money in the summer and our form for the first 20 games is like our current form now we are in big trouble.

It's a huge gamble having him in charge with all that money I just hope this doesn't send us back down.

So far I've seen nothing to get me excited. A good manager can get the best out his players no matter what so far I've seen no evidence of this from puel. In fact one seen a decline in players form since he took over.

This season is done with now give the youth a chance see what we got coming through.

He might be good in a transfer market, but to be honest, it’s just so dull I don’t want him to get the chance.

It’s not exciting, it’s a chore to go and watch, so give someone else the opportunity to spend it.

If if you are an accountant or live another dull  excistence you might be able to cope with it, but for me this isn’t what I want to see.

First half vs Everton in the 2-0 win?

4-1 away win vs Southampton?

4-1 away win vs West Brom?

0-0 draw vs Chelsea away (result is deceptive)
3-2 away against Newcastle?

First half against Spurs in the 2-1 win?

Nothing, at all?

I wouldn't trust any manager with my own money. I would trust our owners with my money though. So I'm happy to back whatever decision the owners take with their money.

I think we are suffering because he hasn't made any sufficient signings yet. We didn't strengthen in Jan and the squad has got worse since last August. The players can't argue that they haven't been given a chance. Time to let him get his own players in and trust him.

Owners are really unhappy him and there was talk of getting rid of him once the season is done.

I would put money on hem sacking him and ****ing up recruiting someone else, leading to Appleton being the manager until about November when he gets the sack.

Style of play is f**king turgid mate nothing to do with signings, yes some of the players aren't good enough and we need better replacements granted. We just keep possession for the sake of possession, I would prefer counter attacking football with less possession to be honest. Vardy must be bored out of his f**king mind.

That’s not really a surprise as all three have been dropped at some point.

i wouldnt be surprised by anything the owners do - even with the sackings, poor signings  etc etc, we are still sitting top half so they continue to be supported by me in their decision making.

If Benitez became available I expect they wouldn’t hesitate to bin Puel. But how likely is it that a manager of that pedigree becomes available and wants to come here. They will have better offers abroad.

i spoke to Rudkin before the West Brom game when we drew. He said they were struggling to understand why the players were motivated against the big sides but not the rest. Next day shakey was gone.

Like I said, nothing would surprise me but I can’t believe that they wouldn’t give him until Nov unless someone very good became available and wanted to come.

I personally would, these on the whole are not his players, and most are not technically gifted enough to play the football puel is trying to play.

I would suggest the owners didn’t spend much in January, as we was looking safe to stay up, and it’s not a good window to buy in, and they are conscious a major clear out is needed, before a rebuild with puel style players can happen, as we have a lot of average players on good money, due to previous poor windows, and players given to good of contracts after the title win, and have gone back to the average players they always were.

I’m not a puel fanatic, but with the type of squad he’s inherited, I think he should be given time to get his own squad together, and get rid of the bang average players, and then judge him next summer.

I’m not convinced by him, as in entertainment, or his decision with the current players he has at his disposal, but I’m bored of the manager merry go around, and he’s good a proven pedigree, so quite happy to see what next season brings.

After seeing our home form slip to its worst in years, I’m unsure (if I was the owner) I’d trust Puel with a penny of my money in the summer.

Under his stewardship, I feel like we have lacked the ability to get stuck in and grind out a result rather than playing out from the back and working the ball into the box. It’s clear we don’t have the players to play in this way and we are losing games we should have won to finish 7th.

So, would you invest or give Puel the vote of NO confidence?

Would I trust him with my money?

More so than I trust a lot of peoples judgement on here.

I agree  this must be the worst premier league for years  Burnley are in a state of shock  2 of their key players Wood and Mee  werent good enough for us and as stated 2 months without winning and 7th is ridiculous although  most admire the underdogs overachieving.

Transfers no longer controlled by the manager at City. Be a joint decision of Puel/Macia/Rudkin.

Puel says what he wants, Macia finds the options and Rudkin does the signing. Puel will not be given the luxury of choosing exactly who he wants to sign without Macia and the scouts doing their work to make sure the proposed player is worth it.

Oh my ****ing days why do people try and sugar coat things and acting like they are blind to what's going on!!!!!!

First of all get a grip.

We ( leicester ) as a team should now be pushing for 6th in the league nd should be at this stage 7th comfatably.

If people are happy spending there money watching sunday league football at best. Even thou that's more entertaining than this shite that is being played in a leicester shirt anyway then that's fair enough.

As a person I say what it is I don't look for positive and pick out just negatives.

I see it as it is as it happens as it's going on and the way it's taking us.

By that we as a team are a shambles the players can't work out a single idea in the final 3rd until the 82nd minute.

AskING for honest answers here now.

Who els was confident when we went 1 or 2 nil down we could pull it back and draw or even win even if it happened in the 73rd minute.

Now if we go 1 nill down at 8 minutes I can see us getting beat because puel doesn't change anything due to his stubbornness until 75 min's in.

But yea your right reality is nothing to get excited about we are in relegation form and go into next season with this baffoon in charge we will be fighting relegation all season.

A little whisper has told me the owners want a 7th finish this season or he goes so we will see I know 100% they are currently unhappy.

So we will see

Executive box 21. If you’re struggling to know which one that is, it’s the one next door to the owners.

Don’t blame them, when they are better than the players getting in in front of them, not surprising the old guard not moaning, he’s playing them no matter what.

Amartey playing well whilst Simpson injured, and better than Simpson, dropped because simpson fit.

 Same with dragovic and Morgan.

Silva and Iborra being kept out by James, not surprised they are unhappy, both far better, but have to sit out for a player who’s hardly played for two years, and can’t keep himself injury free, but once he is fit,  puel was picking him

Sure at home it is odd that we play like an away side yet away we play on the front foot but you can’t argue with the position really, comfortably to 40 points and I think we have improved under him. Apart from the season we won the league this is actually the best we have been in years and years

The box I mentioned is just over £50,000 a season but that is because it’s bang in the middle next door to the owners. They get cheaper the further from the middle you go.

The one we go in is owned by Crockford club.

if you read the thread, I've said before that the football could be better and we can be performing better.

But to say there's been 'nothing' exciting from a performance under Puel so far is off the mark I'm afraid, whether you like him or not.

Also, we're not in relegation form, as the 2 different tables will show (proof that you're chatting out your backside and your comments are fuelled from your dislike of Puel)

The below is from Matchday 24, so 3 games further back from the table above but still not relegation form. Sorry.
