Not according to Danny Mills on 606, but then he wouldn't know skill and technique if it slapped him on his bald head.

Really!? What one does he think is goal of the season then?

Absolutely brilliant move from Arsenal. I really love team goals like that, but that one had everything, tricks, flicks, passing, teamwork and a great finish!

Let it be the difference of finishing above or below US!

I'd rather have Maddison.

I'd rather have Maddison mahrez and vardy with nacho furthest forward

Post match interview - ‘pep, did you know Mahrez has missed five of his last eight pens’?  Peps reaction made it clear that he didn’t ! that’s a big surprise given we are led to believe he is so thorough ........

Did a proper job of scouting him then.

Aaron Ramsey's goal from earlier today, goal of the season for sure.

We picked a bad time to play them away!

Nearly as good as Vardy's England goal, against Germany...I am bias so Vardys is better!!!

Liverpool looked spent - their game plan became lumping it long.

Theres huge irony Klopp moaning about the internationals when he works his players incredibly hard and barely rests them. The same thing was happening with Spurs last break with Kane and their fans pleading with Southgate to rest him.

Its a failure of both clubs to have more cover for it

When I saw him step up I did loudly shout WHAT THE **** ARE THEY DOING. Most predictable penalty miss I've ever seen. He's awful at them.

I think I penalties are about self belief as much as anything, Riyad’s a flair player but I think that’s the only way he knows rather than an expression of his character. He seems very shy, not want you want in a penalty taker

It's the problem with Klopp's style of football. It is awesome to see when everyone is at 100%, but players are only human! It's impossible to play at such high intensity week-in and week-out. He ended up resigning from Dortmund partly because his players were shattered after years of playing it and it's quite notable that many of the star players from that team ended up having either large spells out injured or massive drops in form. Goetze, Reus, Hummels, Gundogan, Kagawa etc. Only Lewandowski retains the same sort of levels and that's probably due to the position he played and moving to Bayern. That's why IMO Liverpool won't win the league, because it's too hard to play that style for 38 games but they may do better in the cups because their style can beat anyone, even the very best teams out there.

Liverpool's squad is probably also a bit thin given their style. Oxlaide-Chamberlain is out with a long term injury so we shouldn't forget that and Fabinho and Keita haven't really adapted to Klopp's style yet which may impact them. But when Milner is still leading the league stats for distance run it's skating on thin ice to ask him to do it forever.

Still a fan of Klopp though, he makes exciting teams when they aren't completely knackered!

Imagine having Man City's roster and letting Riyad take a last minute pen. lol Feel for the guy but that was always the likely outcome.
