Looking at the League, and can't help but think how strange it will be to see Burnley potentially playing against a team Like Dortmund in the Europa League next season.

I mean, Burnley. Bloody Burnley.....

I can't help but imagine this is exactly how fans felt when we won the league and qualified for the champions league.

I still don't think our achievement has sunk in yet, I still can't seem to get my head around it all.

Won being the important word there, not 7th not 6th even not 4th... won, 1st... can people stop comparing nothing achievements to something

Dortmund are in the Champion's League

Wouldn't be surprised if they went out in the qualifiers anyway

Looks Like they are entering (for BVB) a grimacing period.

Top much politics or just plain silly antics from the top.

Yup my BVB will be struggling for top 8 next season,  unless they can pull it around.

The players they let go were quality and damn Hard to replace.

The potential is there, but the real on pitch leaders have again either gone,or dont have

that drive or respect....Outside Bayern, there are no Clubs in the BLiga, that can find

International/European standard consistency, and upset the Bayern rythm.

Then again !! put them in their 4 star "Adler -Trikot" they become world beaters.

I am so Glad I have duel-nationality...means there is always a decent Chance of

Celebrating something Every 4years.  l've lost my sense of humour, but have great

Discipline...Put me in the English lions Fans Trikot...then I can laugh my arse off

and enjoy the early rest, take the early bus and flight home, causing uncontrolable havoc

While underway. ..They all wont have seen the like, since the heady days of Rasputin.

"kinda relieved we stuffed up europe". the best thing that can ever happen as a fan of a club the size of ours is getting to follow them in europe. the fact that some of our fans are not only not heart broken we didn't qualify for the europa league but genuinely relieved/happy makes me want to chuck myself off a bridge.

Make sure it’s a garden one then mate - despite me thinking you’re a bit of a nob re your response  as I tend to agree with HPF, it’s not worth killing yourself over it  ..........

Burnley deserve it, and I hope their fans enjoy it.  You have to be dead inside not to celebrate a little when a small club outperform.

I would have enjoyed the Europa League, even if it meant not much Prem progress.

It isn't quite the same as us winning the league and going into the CL though, so no I don't think this is how people felt about us.  More like when we came 9th and won the League cup to qualify under MON.

As much as i get your point I don't think it was everyone. Just supporters of the elite and idiot pundits. I had people in my local watching CL games that don't normally watch CL games.

I think more people were happy to see us in the champions league.

Like our title win it gave people from smaller clubs hope. Just the same but to a lesser extent as Burnley have.

Burnley got 7th place and deserve to go to Europe. Good Luck to them. I don't keep wanting all the trophies going to Man City, Man UTD, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal or Tottenham. (I know Tottenham haven't won anything for years but am sure they will be soon as they seem to be going in the right direction) Let some of the other teams win it.

Remember we were fighting for that spot and would have got there until PEUL made some changes and we started playing possession football, Morgan in defence and making stupid mistakes. Apart from the Arsenal game, our performance over the 10/15 games has been abysmal, shocking and painful.

I wanted Leicester to go Europe. I wanted them to fight for the Uefa Cup and try and win it.

Just think that next season, if PEUL is still there we will be fighting relation again.

Fyi, it's PUEL, if you must emphasise it so.

We were also fighting for 7th place when Mahrez went off on one.

Let's not be too hasty to jump on Puel's back.

Oh, the problem lies much deeper than with the manager - but he's not making it any easier.

Mahrez had handed in a transfer request in May 2017, a week after our last league match against Bournemouth. Remember?

I don't want to know how much that derailed our pre-season last summer and start to this season under Shakespeare and how much it hurt his job in the process.

F uck Dortmund. Pretend they’re a people’s club but they’re just as internationally focussed as corporate English clubs. Wouldn’t even exist now if it wasn’t for Bayern

I think Burnley getting 7th has done us a favor, World Cup year, shortened transfer window, early Europa qualifiers, manager under pressure, would have been a nightmare.

We need a solid summer clearing out dead wood, improving the squad and then going again

At the moment, joining Burnley in the second qualifying round are AC Milan (Serie A), RB Leipzig (Bundesliga), Sevilla (La Liga) and Nice (Ligue 1).

Pleased for Burnley, good on them.

The funny thing is that apart from them we have finished exactly where we would expect to based on squad value, resources, etc.  Funny old game football.  I am not even sure what is classed as success for us since winning the league.  X

Fair play to Burnley and fair play to Dyche they have fought long and hard and deserve the 7th place finish and European football. I suppose like people thought of us they would drop away and fade and believe they have been very lucky to have a settled side with very few injuries. It will be hard to maintain that level next season especially with European football looming and unlike many teams from the PL who qualify for the Europa league i do hope they take it seriously but it has an impact on team performances due to the extra games and it certainly hit us. A little club like Burnley finishing 7th is fantastic but a little club like Leicester finishing 1st is a different level. We can go all Spursy and tell ourselves we should and could have finished above them. Tell ourselves we were better than them when we played even though they beat us but they finished above us because over 38 games they got more points. Just my tuppence here but Dyche has decisions to make, he is safe at Burnley or safer than most but where does he go from here is that as good as it gets. Does he want to go to a "bigger club" all clubs have ambitions but the clubs with the wealthier owners can make the ambitions more obtainable. He has cut his cloth accordingly and fair play to him and to Burnley and hope they do themselves proud in the Europa league and their fans love European football like we did.

Burnley have the 3rd worst record for days lost through injuries this season.....only Crystal Palace & Watford have suffered more injuries. Our most creative player Defour has missed 14 games and the second most creative Brady has missed 23 matches. Heaton was unavailable for more than 20 matches. Chris Wood has missed a dozen or so matches....the list goes on....Mee has missed 9 games, Tarkowski 7, Ward 10.......

I'm genuinely happy for Burnley and hope they go far in Europe.

Is it a bigger acheivement than our league win or is our league win being overshadowed in the media because of Burnley's 7th this year? Of course not. But its still some acheivement and can only be applauded, no other manager even comes close to Dyche as manager of the year ( lol @ suggestions for Roy Hodgson).

If we were to qualify for Europe, I’d prefer to do it from actually being the best at something, not qualifying through the back door. Okay, it’s great for the fans because it’s basically a glorified piss up, but for the club it’s just a drain on resources. Let’s see how Burnley get on for a start because I bet that they’ll either struggle in the league or dyche will just use Europe to top the coffers up and play development players, which is all very well and good but would anyone seriously want to watch 2nd stream players getting hammered by some of the best sides in Europe. I personally think that puel and the players have purposely tried to avoid qualifying for Europe because they know the squad is just not big enough or strong enough. Seems a coincidence that as soon as we can’t get 7th, we beat arsenal who, against many peoples opinion on here, are a top side. Europe, this season is far too early in puels reign. Next season is the season for us to try and qualify just because of the obvious changes going off this season. Problem is we’ve had a taster , and it’s gone to some fans’ heads, we’re not good enough yet.

I get what your saying... yet i do think the fans... the players... and the owners of our club have to aspire to better and better... not like sados at Newcastle (massive club)... but to say we are on a journey and we want to make progress.  This means we will every once in awhile qualify for Europe and we will finish in the top six and... we may.. even finish second.. or there's a remote possibility we could win the pl - but consistently qualifying (say 8 out of 10 years ) for Europe would be progress.  Again I say this not in an entitled arrogant way _ is say it in a "relentless progress inspirational" way.  I want my sons club (lcfc) to perform better in his lifetime than it has done in mine.

Thought i heard you had made the least amount of changes, and those figures are subjective of course and Leicester can also list plenty Huth, Simpson,Chilwell,Morgan,Ihenacho,Okazaki,James,Ndidi, and Silva have missed large chunks of the season. Burnley have had a great season and if you think the injuries have hindered your season we can agree to differ

It could easily have been Leicester City playing Dortmund after being in 8th spot for so long. We've had plenty of opportunities to overhaul Burnley and even at one stage The Gooners but we simply haven't been good.
