That's what I'd go for with Alli/Lingard/Loftus Cheek interchangerble with either Dier/Sterling/Vardy depending on the game.

Again, the rest don't matter. They are the only 3 players worth talking about and if all 3 aren't in the team for the first game then we may as well pack it in at that point.

 

Everybody else is filler.

Dier and Henderson is the worst central midfield pairing England have had in my lifetime, possibly ever.

Allí has been poor for England, goalscoring record is disappointing and when he's not bagging he offers little else. Dier and Henderson are too conservative together whereas RLC runs well with the ball but is probably unlikely to start unfortunately.

 

Against more difficult opposition I'd have Vardy and Kane up front with Dier coming into midfield.
