STUHILL Posted 16 June 2018 Posted 16 June 2018 Only reason this would make sense, is if Palace are actively trying to sell, to fund other player purchases. Think he is still quite a key player for them though having played 36 games last season, so can't see this happening unless we pay a huge amount.

The same guy who played for Newcastle and Palace and suddenly found a football brain and became an integral part of their team. Not sure why there is so much angst against him. He is no Mahrez - we aint gonna get another Mahrez - but I would welcome him here.

Thought he played well at our place and put a good ball in for Benteke for their opener as I remember. He is no world beater, but would welcome him in to our squad. Incidently, I'm not convinced we are in for him anyhow.

Shaqiri to Liverpool Ziyech to Roma Elyounoussi gone to Saints etc etc it may be the case that we are happy with the number of wingers we have, and we are looking to replace Mahrez’s creativity by buying No.10s, Maddison and A Nother.?

Maddison will bring a lot back to the team, that is lost through the sale of Mahrez. But we may be replacing the loss of a winger, in Mahrez, with another winger, in Townsend

If palace wanted to sell to buy a better player then we should be aiming to bring in a better player too.
