I thought that Brighton were the worst team to play at our place last season (Huddersfield came a close second). My opinion at the time was that it would be impossible for them to stay up. However they did, fair play to them. I was actually quite pleased for them given where they've come from.

It might be that Brighton have offered something that we haven't (or are unable to do so) but If AJ decides that's where he wants to go then good luck to him. I won't cry myself to sleep.

Not overvthat anyway

This is where the manager can p!ay a big part in selling his vision to the player. I hope Puel is up to it.

Chris Hughton on the other is very good at it so this could go either way. We should be able to outbid them though.

The fact that none of the usual sources such as John Percy aren’t all over this shows you it ain’t happening.

Yep he's the only ITK that we should pay attention to.

Chris Hughton said on sky sports news after his friendly today he is happy with his squad and does not expect to sign anymore players

We don't have anyone who can change the game just like that. Because puel doesn't want this... We will be in serious trouble in January without a doubt

Are we seemingly becoming desperate for this deal because of the thought he may choose Brighton instead of us or because he is really good ??

Im not sure. At first most on here were excited at possibly signing him with some saying he would be a great signing. Then when it looked like he may be going to Brighton, alot on here said we've dodged a bullet and hes not that good and we never really wanted him. And now it looks like we could be back in the race again, many on here are excited again and really hoping we sign him. So ultimately i have no idea of hes any good or whether our fans will be happy or not if we sign him.

Some may say Maddison can be a game changer. Id definitely say someone who is a set piece specialist can change games. Just because we haven't signed a replacement for Mahrez yet doesn't mean Puel doesn't like game changers. Afterall, Puel has nothing to do with the signing of players. He can recommend who hed like us to sign but then its over to Rudkin.

We have a track record of finding great players in unlikely places. This could be another. If we sign him then let’s see.

we also have a track record of signing some real sh!t. Which way will the coin land?  Who knows. That is what makes football at our level exciting.
