People should really stop using the World Cup and the altered transfer window period as an excuse, as plenty of other clubs are still managing to get the business they want to do done.

Next games the likes of Elder, Hamza, Johnson really shouldn't be getting minutes. Puel needs to decide who is likely to stay, who is likely to go and focus on minutes for those more likely to be involved and to try and get a bit of flow going.

Yes, and those clubs either have few or no World Cup participants or have amassed a plethora of new players that need to find into the swing of things first.

 

Also, despite the sale of Mahrez, we have no clue whether the club are holding back signing new players because of wage issues or because they are in negotiations and nothing has been sealed yet.

 

The impatience from some on here is cringeworthy at times.

I would imagine that was his plan all along.

 

Use these 'warm up' games to decide who stays/goes and use the last two 'proper' friendlies to play his first team ready for the start of the PL.

Im one of his biggest critics. He's been crap 95% of the time since joining. But he looks to have confudence arm and I'll give him another chance if he can keep it together.
