I’m sick of reading this BS about Leo. The club went back on its promise to him and he was stuck in limbo. Obviously the club and Leo kissed and made up but a small group of fans can’t get over it. Pathetic.

Several club employees have made a point to tell me that he’s a great guy and treated people well.

Glad to see the majority of this thread is a bit more mature about the situation. Leo Ulloa scores the big goals everyone else’s fav player dreams about. On top of that, his defensive contributions were off the charts for us. I still think he can do a job for us and I’m a little worried that we’ll soon be without a target man (again).

I wish Leo nothing but the best.

They didn't go back on their promise, it's team first,  Leo second! Why would they sell to Sunderland, a direct competitor to us for relegation at that time and let him potentially score winning goals? Or the Spanish team that wanted to pay something daft like 1.7m when that summer West Brom had offered 10/12m but he didn't want to go? The world didn't revolve around Leo Ulloa, he was totally unreasonable and had for his era  been totally well paid for his services,  a contract he was very happy to sign when he came and probably even got a spanking new BMW to boot for playing a bit part. He was very selfishly just thinking about himself and being totally unreasonable about the needs of the club that made him a Premiership winner and millionaire, which was well beyond what he would have got anywhere else. I liked him as a player and felt he did well for us. I too will remember him fondly but he also did very well out of us and has absolutely nothing to complain about.

Bang on. There was also a significant personal family reason which probably persuaded them to give him a new contract. You can argue that may have been heart ruling head on the clubs part but it was their decision to make. From people I know who have had dealings with him he is lovely guy. I can certainly forgive him his "outburst". It was as you say dealt with quickly and both parties moved on.

He's not the first person to have a disagreement with his employer about something.

I still miss seeing him on the near post, Esteban on the far post, defending corners. One of his less remembered contributions to the 14/15 season.

Ive spent tens of thousands following Leicester over the years and am 100% qualified to give my opinion.

I knew posting a strong opinion that doesnt follow the majority would get a reaction from one or two sensative souls...but calling someones opinion pathetic...especially one formed on facts is ugly.

I fully stand by what I said....Leo gave zero effort once he was 'rewarded' with his new bumper contract!!

What the **** difference does it make that he is a nice guy or kind to people??

What a strange point to make.

Maybe we should sign my nan...she is lovely?!.

It was a horrible situation for the player and his family.

The media were informed at the time but were politely asked, at the player's insistence, not to report it.

Wish him well in his new challenge.

This and as @UpTheLeagueFox alluded to there were difficult circumstances.

Ive read it all from our fans over the last few days.....Vardy doesnt deserve his new contract, good riddance Leo, good riddance Andy King, etc...

I hope your employers treat you with the same disdain.

Out of all the players that are "surplus to requirements" that are here he's the only one I don't agree with.

In hindsight we should never have bough Slimani and just carried on with Ulloa. I think he would have been happy enough here if he started the cup games and was a much used used substitute to come on when we needed a goal or someone to come on and hold the ball up and defensive strength at set pieces when we were holding on to a lead.

That night against Atleticio Madrid when he came on when the tie was as good as over and we nearly turned it round. We played 3-4-1-2 with the full backs playing like wingers and Ulloa and Vardy up top with Mahrez just behind. Probably the best defensive team in the world playing so narrow that the full backs had acres of space but Ulloa caused them no end of problems in their compact formation. We needed three goals but had so many chance to go 2-1 up with Leo at the heart of it.

I think he should still be here giving us that option as we have the personnel to go 3-4-1-2 when we need that goal.

Also that penalty versus West Ham, the coolest guy in the stadium. How many moons orbit this man's testicles?

No, and I haven't seen it reported anywhere, nor has the player made any fuss about it.

We aren't party to discussion which went on between Leo and the club. Given his general character, I doubt he complained without good reason. I understand a lot of his anger; particularly how Ranieri restricted him to 45 minutes of Champions League football.

Cant keep them around forever if they are surplus to requirements, they have probably achieved more than they (King and Ulloa) ever dreamed of as well as being set up for life from the wages they have earned here. Not to mention when they was all bought cars.

Ulloa made 3 starts since we won the league and played about 570 mins of league football for us in 2 seasons

King  5 starts last season, unfortunately time moves on and clubs cant stand still.

If King was rated at the club and offered something better than his peers he would still be wanted, just like Vardy is.

Im not sure if you are suggesting the club are treating the players with disdain, If so i wonder if you was paying the wages if you would be so keen.

I'm thankful for what he did and achieved with the club but it is the right time for him to move on. he just wasn't going to get a look in anymore!

I liked Leo a lot and always thought he gave of his best,  it will be sad to see him go so I hope I didn't come over as a hater or too disrespectful to him. I just feel that anything that was said to him in relation to him leaving would have had to have a degree of common sense attached to it. If it came to a transfer fee for example, if one club offered 12m and another 1.7 , would Ulloa honesty feel that the club should take such a huge hit just to keep him happy? With the Sunderland one, relegation would potentially cost our owners well in excess of 100m, he should reasonably be expected to understand that as well I think. In the end he got a very decent contract which demonstrates to me that our owners are as fair as they can be as they didn't have to give it him at all.

All the time?

You are possibly mistaking me for someone else?

If someone calls my opinion pathetic I have a right of reply just like they have the right to critisize me....but to say I get offended all the time is just plain wrong.

Ive been a member here well over 10 years and in all that time Ive responded to critisisms maybe twice?!?

Why are you getting your knickers in a twist over it anyway I was responding to someone elses post.
