Never was to the standard we needed but he got so much undeserved stick imo. He was decent. Strong, obviously very aggressive, a bit quicker then the average CB.  He was actually quite composed on the ball, especially compared to the likes of Wes and Simmo. Needless to say his big downfall was his decision making, it was horrendous. I think people just remember his horror show at right back on his debut and hold him too it. If he played CB from the off and given more games i think people would rate him a wee bit more.

Will remember him and Simmo coming over to the away end at the Hawthorns last season, jumping about with the fans like nutters. Can't accuse the bloke of not caring or being unprofessional. Good luck to him.

He was a lovely guy. Absolutely nuts and some of his tackles in "behind closed doors" matches were up there with the best/worst.  Good luck Benny, but right time to say farewell.

That one vs Burton last summer was horrific lol

I saw him play some good stuff. The shame is that he can go from being the silky skilled defender, to panic stricken and then hatchet man all in the space of 10 seconds.

Keep him to do Puel's pre and post match interviews. The I Don't Like Puel Because He Doesn't Entertainment Me problem solved right there.

Thought he defended very well, but his distribution was dreadful.

He was very odd as an individual, but one thing massively to his credit is he never got the hump, always posted positivity about the club on social media, even when he wasn’t involved.

I just think his distribution made him fall short of being premier league, but he has played in it, and the Champions League so good on him.

That's the only one I remember - were there others?

I do think there's a bit of a myth about him being a 'hatchet man' based on one or two occurrences. How many cards did he get? Certainly compared to Wasilewski he was pretty tame, and it's funny how Was seems to be universally (within the LCFC universe) loved for it.

I'm not going to argue about his eccentricity...

Hero..legend,honoury but a tame exterminator Wasi.....

a few yellow cards ..how many Red cards...even yellow/red through his whole career.????  Less than some posters perpetuate

He was never a walking red..!!!

Benny...also not so wild.  as some try to maintain

Eccentricity and OTT incorrect opinions, is more in the sphere of foxestalk posters...

Nantes in talks to sign Yohan Benalouane

Ligue 1 side Nantes are in negotiations with Tunisian central defender Yohan Benalouane, according to 20 Minutes.

Talks are advancing rapidly, with the player having recently reached a mutual termination agreement with his previous club Leicester, therefore if he were to join, it would be on a free transfer.

Quick hide his social media before they see him dressed like a lunatic and pull out.

True enough. Point well made!

Me, I reckon Benny isn't quite the barbarian/liability he's sometimes cast as. I actually reckon he is a pretty decent player but just perhaps not to standard. Certainly I reckon he ought move on if he wants to play regular football because he'd get few look-ins with us - and I mean no disrespects by that.
