Best thing about this is the temptation for puel to play him due to injuries is gone and it pushes some of the younger lads up the pecking order

Cannot believe he's been here for 3 years.

The fact that he played in the Champions League quarter finals is nuts, but the fact he played well is just staggering.

Genuinely staggering how some games he'd be absolute rubbish, yet actually looked fairly competent when playing in the CL

"Cut price fee", I'd be amazed if we got anything for him as we just want him off the wage bill.

This window I'd have thought we'd have asked for £1mil-2mil for him which is better than a big fat zero. In all fairness, even with his contract running out, he has some market value as he had a couple decent seasons for Atalanta. Agree, moving him along is necessary but getting a fee is grand. Parma about right for Benny.

Negotiations can take time, there may be several suitors for King, with him and the club weighing up the best options.

James and Mendy are still recovering from injury, so going nowhere at the moment.

I hadn't realised Mendy was injured must have missed that . Just assumed he wasn't in the picture due to general uselessness . We haven't had the best of luck with some of these signings and looks like him and James  are part of the furniture now

So basically we will be stuck with James  for another 4 years  as he will never be fit to sell

Any fee with his wages off the books is good business for us. If he's on say 45k a week (complete guess) that would be 2.34m in wages so whatever fee we can get is a bonus really.

Precisely. Think a previous source had him on £40k p/w so approximately £2mill per year saved.

Favourite Benny moment when he clattered into to someone last year in pre season ( forget the game ) the refs got his hand in his pocket and you could literally hear shaky saying ' I'll take him off ref I'll take him off ' and hooks him immediately. He hadn't played for ages and does that and disappears again for months. Comedy.

Training like a gudden in the pre match Wolves photos

Hardly, he's been on holiday all week and only come back today. Probably come to pick up his stuff.

But as has been said he's a professional and seems to train no matter where he is so probably wanted to put a shift in :)

I wasn't counting James or Mendy as they're both injured and unlikely to be going anywhere.

Iborra and Silva are first choice but neither has delivered so I'd let them go while they still have value.

A new left sided Midfielder with NDiddy, Mendy and Choudhury, and we'd be ok.

Barkley for 10 to 15 Mil would have been a good buy for the left side.

King I still think will go out on loan.

We cant sell either Iborra or Silva until at least January as we cant replace them. And i still think both have a lot to offer us. I wouldnt touch Barkley, always injured and has never actually developed into anything special due to his injury issues. He'll be another Wilshere, clearly has some talent but will never reach their full potential due to constant injuries.

Arrived on the same day as Kante and exactly the same fee. Unfortunately, that's where the similarities ended. Didn't quite work out for him the way he or the club imagined but he's always seemed to give his all.

If he moves on, good luck to him.

If that's he case then the insurance will pay his wages.
