Chap near me criticises him from the fist minute and just won't stop.:dunno:

Today, After a good bit of play from MA in the 2nd half the chap actually said "that was a good cross... but he's still an idiot."

I mean WTF is wrong with some peope

think that puts to bed the myth he's not very good on the right, thought he looked better playing there as he was able to play the ball so much quicker than on the left where he has to cut inside.

He's still better on the left for me. He crosses way too early on the right, I know it worked today but its rare that his crosses from just past the half way line come off. Also that chance Gray had in the second half was when he'd ended up on the right, like at Cardiff when he scored the one occasion he and Albrighton switched sides.

I hate fans like this. He's literally the most likable player in the Premier League along with Ngolo Kante! And he's good for us!

that was a bad miss from Gray, the Southampton kid showed him how it should be done from  very similiar position.

Whilst I don’t agree with criticising him constantly, I will say that he certainly isn’t anywhere near Kante in likeability rankings! He’s an incredibly frustrating player who struggles with basic passes and is clumsy as shit. Played well today though for sure.

Performances like today, and that pass in particular, are why I find Albrighton so annoying. He’s at his best when he attacks and he is technically excellent, we need to see more of this.

The fan boys won’t have it but more often than not he is the most wasteful player on the pitch who doesn’t look where he passing and doesn’t contribute enough to the attack. I hope he can carry on from today!

Easily my favourite player since i started with this wonderful club. He’s the total embodiment of giving your absolute all!

We’re so fortunate as a club to of had a few of him in recent years, Hume, Dickov etc...

What a guy, just an all round decent human, and we got him for absolutely nothing lol madness!

Sounds like the guy behind me. After only 10 mins had passed and we seemed on top in general, all he says is 'Maddison has had a quiet game'. Obviously scored not long after lol

We have such a strong group of English players which is brilliant to see. Chilwell, Gray, Maddison, Albrighton and Vards.

But it's such a shame Albrighton never got the recognition he deserves (internationally).

edit: and Maguire!!

Love the Albrighton smile and you can see how much the rest of the team likes him. Maddison was kissing his forehead after the goal ha ha!

I don't think he will get into the team now and with players coming through like Jadon Sancho, Rashford and even our our own Demari Gray it's probably the right call. But it was Hodgson who was the idiot. He should have given a call up to Alrighton and Simpson in 2016. Perhaps neither of them would have made the Euros, but after the season they both had he should have picked players in form instead of players on reputation. Obviously he picked Wilshere and he got his come uppance against Iceland.

Sucks for our boys though who could not have done much more that year!

He's been my favorite player for years.

He has his off days..but who doesnt??

He constantly works his socks off for our club week in week out and still seems to have gas left in the tank.

He's already a Leicester legend who thankfully can still turn out for us and be the best player on the pitch.

He still deserves an England call up.

And Maguire! At a time when most clubs don’t have 6 English squad-fillers, we have 6 that start and, on their day, are magnificent.

Yeah sadly now time has probably gone, but it wouldn't hurt to give him a cap and a try.

But i agree, Roy killed our nation's love for the national team by selecting names rather than those in form or playing well. So many of ours and others deserved call ups and all were ignored because of who they were.
