It’s quite damning of our fans when people rate someone who has played 3 matches higher than one of our title winners that got as many assists last night as Ricky P has in them 3.

It was non league level opposition.

And before anyone else strawman me, I like Albrighton, decent player, good pro. But it's not a sin to point out his limitations.

Hate to be that guy but he doesn't provide enough goals or assists. Nor is he creative enough. He can cross a good ball but it's quite damning on Albrighton that Pereira is better in Marc's natural position

When players main praise is their work ethic it's kind of a back handed compliment. I see it with Okazaki too.

Decent player but how can he  underrated when 80% of City fans rate him?

To be fair, he's already got 3 assists in his 2 1/2 appearances this season.

He's not exactly had a bad start to the season.

It's not strawmanning to say it's more than a bit premature to say Perreira is better in his natural(? when he's always been much better for us playing on the left anyway, so it's a bit misleading to claim someone's better than him on the right is damning) position.

He's a great player but he doesn't suit how Puel wants us to play. He wants players that are comfortable in possession and can pass the ball well. In a system were pressing is the main aim he's absolutely quality but that doesn't seem to be what we're about anymore.

I think he'll likely have a place in the squad for a few years yet. He's far from spectacular but he's steady and alongside Okazaki, probably the hardest working player I can remember for us.

I've said it before and I'll say it again but I wish he shot more. He can actually hit a ball well but doesn't do it enough.

Absolutely not but it it’s typical of a large group of our fans to dismiss a great pro for someone who has barely played for us. Unfair on both.

He's a decent squad player now and rightly so.

Get fed up of people calling him "underrated" though. He's one of the most rated players we have.

So under rated always gives 100% shame a few more can't. Simmo same mould but gets no credit for what he's done.

Loving this season and think we shall pull off another shock. Shame some won't give it time.

Great lad...always gives 90%

So true, seems he get's a thread after every good game.

I like what Albrighton has to offer us when he attacks. His obsession with playing fullback though frustrates the life out of me. As has been mentioned, he's always a decent 6/7 out of 10.

Who do you think doesn't give 100%?

I would guess since He wore the fox on his chest.....He's always, been involved in Leicesters, best moments, and goals.

The strangest of issues...all  in this time Our managers took him off,and then introduced Slimani.or visa-versa

Not one manager sawi n game moments...we needed such a pairing..

Albrightons crosses,IMO were some of the best in our now PL period, so many times wasted because of teammates not attacking various

Areas inside the penalty-area.  Also a great crosser when moving away from goal, even when the teammates header/shot was missed or saved,

Gets forgotten easy... That man Utd goal last season,Albrighton---Maguire goes down in memory, but that type of  crossing,is a positive skill,he brings out regularly.... Through balls for Vardy,or striker..again gets easily forgotten, because teammates fluff the chance.

And yes even taking the posters, who give him the high plaudits,IMO he is still, very much underrated.

He is so flexable,he could and should be part of Puels revolution, and not as just A bit player...though must not be always 1st team choice.

A top club man, when fit, top 12 player, even from the bench.Tries every part of the game,to get us on the front foot..

soon 29hrs old..next 3-4yrs,at his peak.

He of all our then "stars"  was the one who scored our 1st CL goal.....To me he will always be in the same sentence as an hero and legend,

with the likes of  (midfield-winger-strikers) Goodfellow,J.Sinclair,Gibson, izzet,Lennon,Weller,Glover,Wortho,Vardy,Kante,Mahrez,

AND...He is still playing, with still more class and form,in his tank,we should be using...

All good teams need their "water carriers" ..players willing to give 100 per cent chasing  and closing  down the opposition. Brian Hall for the Liverpool European Cup winners, Ray Parlour for the Arsenal invincibles and Sergio Ramos for Real Madrid for examples. Without them any team  becomes a "showbiz eleven " with nobody prepared to do the donkey work.

For all of Grays 'improvements' this season, Albrighton has 3 assists and 1 goal in all competitions. Gray has 1 goal in 5 games.

Can't understand why he keeps getting dropped.

Albrighton suffers in comparison to gray as the latter is seen as one of the great white hopes of English football. Marc is more of a workhorse than a flair player so isn't the type to excite those types phoning stringer to complain.

We're all aware of his limitations but he always puts in solid performances and some very good one in yer average season. Other than vardy and kasper he has been the one to hit his expected level of performance if not better it over the years.

If you were Albrighton looking on at the likes of Morgan getting his game with some woeful performances you'd have to question why you were the one dropped.

Feel sorry for the bloke. 4-2-3-1 doesn't suit him despite all his best efforts. He's an out an out wide player - full stop. And one of the best if used that way. Shades of Vardy not being used to his best attributes.
