Southgate really rates Ben as an attacker ... impressive how much of the ball he is seeing and how far upfield he is playing.

Makes me nervous when a team does a back-pass towards the goal, at least aim it a bit wide in case the keeper has a mare.

Yeah the Charlton defender in the play off final didnt get that memo.

VAR goes for and against England in tbe matter of seconds - both decisions probably correct in all fairness .

Took quite a while for a clear cut decision though .

Why did it go for England?  The ref didn’t give a pen ??.

If we wanted to bring on a CF just to win headers couldn't we have dug out Crouchys phone number instead of Kane electing to stretcher himself onto the pitch unfit (I'm doing this in the hope of inevitable banter when he scores the winner)

Southgate showing limitations again whilst we were ahead. Midfield needed changing way before he did. Pretty shit overall but had chances, the Sancho miss crucial. Going to lose on pens.

It's so close it's ridiculous really but I guess it has to be given. Bring back the clear daylight offside rule.

Attackers attack, can't punish them for seeking advantage, so I agree.

I played GK and defender in my (glittering) Sunday League career and I was always pass it back to the side of each goal in case it goes under the keeper's foot or it takes a bobble.

Is it harsh to suggest our better passages of play all seem to surpass Kane?

No (but he'll inevitably score the winner off his arse)
