The chemistry just fell together with Claudio.

Walsh's nous, Shakey's coaching and being the man of the players and Claudio's final polish worked.

Cocked up when he started to believe it was all him and changed - Don't under estimate the effect sacking Ken Way the sports psychologist had after winning the league.

He bring us to win priemer league yes.

You need to see the whole context. When we won, the Big 6 are somehow disappear together, except Tottenham who are yet to win epl

The team also majority from Pearson sides, player and staff.

Our key player, kante, need Steve Walsh to convince him badly to sign over mendy

Then take a look at the season after. He start to really take charge of the team. He got many of important staff left. The modern sport science are gone. He dismiss the need of sport psychology, he didn't convince the board to renew kante contact, only vardy did. He fool ulloa repeatedly until he's lost his temper.

Kante gone, he replace him with mendy. And the worse part is he drop okazaki for slimani. What kind of tactics is this? Increasing the gap between midfield and attacker while bring less energetic midfielder? We end up with outnumbered in midfield almost in every match.

He somehow prefer extra striker rather midfield we need.

No disrespect but given the simmilar team and environment we have in title winning season, Ranieri is not the only one who can win the epl for us. We just need decent coach who can keep the spirit going.

As soon as ranieri really take charge, lot of bizarre things happen. He's not that great

It was Shakey who as a standing joke put his head in to Claudios office every day and mentioned 'Kante'

As mentioned on another post Pearson did seek advise from Cambiasso and used to pull him aside to discuss. - Being one of the most decorated players ever to play in the country he'd be pretty stupid not too

NO! God no. He was the right man at the right time, a wise old head who realised he'd inherited a brilliant football club and didn't need to change too much.

But if you look at what he did after with us, then what he did at Nantes, his only way of implementing his own style now is extreme catenaccio and he doesn't seem to plan beyond the next match.

No to him, no to Pearson, no to Mickey Adams or Brian Little.

No to Mark Magoo, Craig Levein, Sven, Holloway, Allen, Megson and any other previous manager.

I remembered read telegraph news about it. Can't find the link anymore but there's no mention of shakey there.

I only can find this

No, things move on. :(

Same as with Pearson, thanks for what you've done and you'll forever be respected / a legend but coming back now? I think it could end very badly. We're currently in a reasonable shape, IMO and the League Title is there for posterity.

I think that too. As long as we are away from danger, a cushion of 7-8 points minimum throughout the season etc, then he will get until the end of the season. Finishing below 10th though and he will be gone in the Summer I think, especially if either of these two are available.

I think both Rodgers and Howe have a real affinity with their clubs, and so can only see them leaving if done properly, i.e, end of season and all agreed amicably etc.

So... that could all work out nicely timing wise, if Puel does indeed leave.

It's not as rosy as it was for Rodgers at Celtic, the Dembele issues in the summer weren't ideal for him and he seems more frustrated than he has been with the board up there. Made a thinly veiled threat at them last month regarding progress.

I think he'd be outstanding for us and someone we should throw the kitchen sink at, but I reckon he feels his level is a club competing in Europe at the bare minimum now.

Agreed. He would be a tough target for us, as well as Howe, who would be risking stability and adoration from fans, to come here and risk it bombing, like it did when he last left Bournemouth for Burnley.

I'm still unclear what the owners long-term ambitions are though. Most rich owners overstate their ambitions and so it's hard to gauge whether they are actually content with mid-table Premier League finishes, or genuinely want to push the top 6 elite in the near future.

If they do, then they need to really push for Managers like Howe and Rodgers, who I think would still be a push to get here, but are still a realistic target for us, if the owners can sell them on the project and type of transfer budget that matches an assault on a top 7-8 regular finish.

I love the guy but no. You can't go back.

I totally agree, Claudio was a gentleman and a fine manager. I love the guy, but I don't believe that bringing him back would actually change much now.

Claudio, you will always be my hero. :yesyes:

Sums it up perfectly. They've all been, done their stuff for better or worse and moved on. We need to as well.
