First noticed him as a sprightly pink faced lad playing against us at the then Walkers Stadium on loan at Cardiff. I thought to myself something like - what a player he is going to be with his reflexes and class, these were the days when we were lingering around the Championship seeing the likes of West Brom drop down every other season to completely outclass the rest and the League and us with Zoltan Gera & Robert Koren, losing games at home to Hull* because of Michael Bridges(post injury) worldies and our star players being Iain Hume, Momo Sylla & Paddy Kisnorbo.

His growth has mirrored the Club, he seemed to have appreciated Nigel's influence and of course you can see what Vichai meant to him after all these years of growth. He has the odd dodgy day but he has to be up there with our best ever keepers, certainly above the Keller, Flowers class.

Happy Birthday anyway Kasper

Happy Birthday Kasper , he's been a brilliant goalkeeper for us over the years and is going through a hard time emotionally at the moment but he is a true legend of this club.

I'm not keen on the term 'legend' being thrown around like confetti these days but Kasper is a true Leicester City legend and right up there with the greats we've had at the club IMHO.

I think he's so attached to us that I really can't see him going anywhere else and I hope he stays with us for many, many years in whatever capacity he wants.

Happy Birthday big man

He's got to be the player most deserving of that title with us for a long long time, alongside Vardy perhaps.

Been through it all with us and been a leader throughout. He's a rare breed in that not only is he a brilliant footballer but he's also incredibly intelligent and articulate, as well as hugely passionate. In that regard I wouldn't hesitate to liken him to players like Frank Lampard, honestly.

He's a United fan for obvious reasons, but it's obvious how attached he is to us. He's handled himself impeccably over the last week with everything thats happened, and it's clear how emotional and sincere he has been throughout.

I absolutely agree with you Izzy, that I hope we can keep him for as long as possible both as a player and in some sort of capacity afterwards. Mike Stowell needs an assistant, surely?

Happy birthday, Kasper :)

He didn't take his father's path, nor played in his father's shadow...

He made his own way,and took his own path, became his own man....

A mature man, where his father can be proud, that a city took him into their hearts, and are proud to have him as

Our goal keeper...A city that has known how to judge and respect that no1 shirt,we've had and seen few that honoured that shirt.

These last few days,I for one show not only respect towards our Goalkeeper, but towards the man.!!

A man deserving the accolades.......

Love Kasper.

Think the greatest tribute I can give is that my son decided to name our new kitten Kasper last month :D

"I think you are an ostrich. Are you flexible enough to get your head in the sand?"

Yes, quite random, but I remember you giving an update on here a while ago about Alan Young's health situation.

Have you heard anything recently on him?

I couldn't believe when we signed him as I always thought he was a class above watching him and Hart at Man City as youngsters - but he has been even better than I could ever have imagined. Hope there are many more years to come at the top level with Leicester

Were you in that particular presser?

I was. Pearson was bang out of order - although credit to him for apologising the next day, he knew he'd fcked up. I wouldn't begin to speculate whether drink had been taken before that but, well, you know...

Not seen him since earlier this year. Someone I know well went to visit him recently and I think he's struggling quite a bit.

Difficult to gauge from a video but it looked like a joke Nige got wrong and rather than letting it go he carried it on. Bloody weird.

Sorry to hear about Youngy. Was listening to Radio Leicester in the build up to the game on Saturday, they played the commentary of the game we sealed the Championship title (Bolton away). When Dyer scored it made me smile to hear Youngy's cheers in the background, he'd do the same for every goal. I do miss the man and I wish him well.

To think of the guff we were bouncing around with in the six years between Ian Walker leaving and Kasper joining. Best £1.5m of "Sven's Summer Splurge" we spent.

Rab Douglas.

:nono:

Anyway, Kasper was already respected, admired and even loved around our club.

The Kasper and Claudio "crown" pic is iconic.

The events of the last few weeks have only deepened feelings for him.

Off topic, but Kasper is Mrs Vac's favourite player in *that* way.   Sigh.

Understandably so! It's a close one between him and Iborra for me!
