Brilliant performance today. Early goals, not one shot on target for Watford, 1 goal conceded in 4 games. Mendy and Ricardo especially good today. Evans and Morgan solid. Would be surprised if Maguire slots back into the back 4 easily.

7th in the league, hopefully Liverpool will do us a favour tomorrow and we'll keep the pressure on Everton and United!

A lot of that is what we've been trying to play, but with a bit more movement at last and finally taking our chances.

MoTM Ricardo, absolutely bossed it defensively, managed their winger well and used his pace to get Wes out of trouble occasionally (although, Wes was solid as well).

Evans is still the weak link, his best performance for us in much the same way Silver Side Up is Nickelbacks best album (I.e. poor, but not competing against a high bar) - does my head in how regularly he's got an unchallenged header, Mendy unmarked and 5 yards away, but just loops it back forward to noone: he does it every week. Add in how regularly he gets tight, does nothing to slow the attacker and just takes himself out of the game.

Puel picked close to what would be considered the strongest starting 11 available with no bizarre selections and the result speaks for itself.

If he keeps this up he’s more than welcome to stay in the job. I’m hoping the penny has finally dropped and he quits with the needless and random changes.

Not going to change my opinion on one game, but it was much better today. First half especially. Lucky not to concede, their finishing was astrocious. But much better to watch than last 2-3 months...

Mendy looks a different player!

One game?

We're 7th in the premier league!

Thought Ricardo was fantastic today... my MoM, worked so hard and threw himself into every challenge, so impressed with him compared to earlier in the season e.g. wolves at home

To think where we could be, if we played consistently.

Watford are a good side these days - they played some tricky football at times and fair play to them for coming to play some football.

We also played some good attacking football today and some nice linking up on the counter.

If you can find much to complain about from that then good luck to you tbh - you'll find brown in the rainbow you miserable...

Entertaining game, good win, clean sheet, 7th. Happy ****ing days.

On the whole, a deserved win.

Slight downside to me was the way the manager decided it was best to sit on that lead, inviting pressure from Watford. Luckily, André Gray didn't have his scoring boots on today.

Second half was rather mediocre, and it showed what a lack of strength in depth we're currently experiencing. Once parts of our prime starting XI are off, we're bereft of decent or good enough options.

Also, briefly switching to a 5-3-2 or whatever it was in the second half for a few minutes was a rather hilarious period.

Iborra came on and back to a back four we went. lol

Brilliant game today, truly solid performance. Ricardo was stand out for me, but mendy was everywhere and collecting everything.

Thought the ref had a few odd decisions with handball and such, but overall great win!

Imagine trying to find a reason to moan about Puel after that...

Also, just listening to them talking about the red on RL, the ref had a few strange moments. Can anyone explain why only Maddison was booked at the end when their #14 raised his hands into Maddison and #21 had a go at him in a 6 of one, half dozen of the other deal?

Really good team performance today, our defensive work especially was brilliant at times.

First off I have to praise our central midfield pairing, Mendy and Ndidi were absolute quality defensively, they cut out numerous attacks via tackles and interceptions. Mendy all round today was MOTM for me, even going forward he showed willingness to drive forward with the ball, his passing was excellent too, so much calmness on the ball, class act.

Morgan and Evans were also excellent, Watford did look dangerous going forward at times but those two cut out many of their attacks as well. Ricardo also deserves a mention, very impressive performance from him today, especially defensively.

As for going forward we showed some real quality in the first half, Maddison's goal was one of the best goals I've seen at the KP, from start to finish it was a quality goal. We could've had more if our final ball was better, Albrighton especially was outstanding, he played a number of good balls forward to Maddison and Vardy, just a shame their control let them down.

We did take our foot off the gas after scoring the second; however it was a mature performance, especially defensively. Watford were very wasteful in the final third but our defence played a part in that.

Decent stuff today, a quality goal, a clean sheet, numerous positives
