Bloody love Papy Mendy me, top class today

It seemed as if Mendy made a conscious effort to quickly play the ball forward today.  That was good to see.

That was hard earned in the end. Kudos to the whole defense and Watford's finishing! :scarf:

I love our fullbacks. When has that ever been the case....?

Tad fortunate given all the Hornets chances. But that's football. We got our noses in front an grinded it out.

Good for morale.

What chances, apart from the one when success was in all the others were well blocked and yes defence is also part of the game and we did it brilliantly when needed to

Great result, much better, rode our luck at times but 7th! I do feel with the youth we should only get better!

I love the aggressiveness we brought today. Completely ditched the possession style in the first half and went back to what won us the league. I think its great to be flexible in your offensive approach, but where we are right now as a club in terms of the technical abilities required to successfully play a possession game, i think its best to predominantly play the counter attack. The lethality of our pace is very clear, and the possession style doesn't seem to let that attribute flourish. Love the approach to today's match, love Puel's development of the squad. Lets keep it going.

It was certainly entertaining but we rode our luck a bit with being so open., neverless a great result and a beautiful goal from Madders.

Thankfully the defenders did their job, how many saves did Kasper make?

They found some proper space in our box. Grey missed two guilt edge chances 2nd half.

Pretty decent overall. Makes a nice change.

Ricardo and Mendy very good.

5 home wins out of 5 against Watford in Premier League now.

We are staying up:scarf:

So happy for Mendy. He looked so promising until his injury. And then seemed to really struggle to get back in the side. I'm glad he's getting a proper chance now.
