I remember him shooting from the halfway line once and it going nowhere near the goal. I'll miss his antics.

I think it was actually a narrow miss. Just cleared the cross bar IIRC.

How the **** did he never get sent off?!?!!

You could flip that and ask how all the 'walking red card' comments stuck when he never got sent off. I think the answer is that challenge in an pre-season friendly.

He was a walking yellow card, was never going to get in ahead of our current defenders. get him of the books if he isn't going to play for us. see if he does well at forest. should have a sweepstake when his first yellow card for Forest will be!

Ah, so he's been demoted to 'a walking yellow card'. Who ever knew that was a thing? Anyone know why it is?

Bit like one of those blokes who jumps out of the stands in full kit and tags on to the team line up.

Well, y'know, not really

No problem with him leaving at all - quite the opposite - but it's quite instructive seeing how much of the attitude towards him is based on nothing remotely concrete (and as a corollary why something as imperfect as 'stats' is needed)

Strangely disrespectful comments from our "fans".

He was a model pro who never put a foot wrong when called upon. Good luck to him.

Model pro who moaned about the manager on Instagram on several occasions lol

Good luck to the chap and hope it works out for him. In the scheme of things £5/£7 million is not the end of the world for a squad member in the PL. On a positive nice to think how far we have come when our near neighbours are bringing in a player surplus to requirements here

Good move all around really. Hopefully he gets games in the Championship and gets to see out his career on the pitch rather than on the bench. Or, in his case, on social media. Can't complain about his attitude really.

seems like a decent guy who gets more stick than he deserves but our fans have a habit of that these days.

played reasonably well most times he's been called upon and hasn't acted like a little bitch about things when he's been sidelined.

good luck to him!

Good business by Claude during Jan

A forest clean sheet with a Benny winner and he will be a clueless cvnt on here.

Forgot to add for selling him that is.

Funny how so many fans laud over MON yet by having not a good word to say about Benny are actual criticising MON for signing him.  :dunno::nigel:

Forest are a mid table championship side and O'Neill will have got him for a fraction of what we paid.

Perhaps Benny will do OK at that level but he must be about sixth choice for us now.  A good deal for both clubs.  Good old Martin!

I liked Benalouane and wish him good luck in the future...after forest. I hope that they concede dozens and that he manages to take out a few of their players in the process. That's your mission agent Benalouane.

Good signing for Forrest, no point in hanging onto players who won’t get game time. Best of luck to the lad, he played well a few times for us.

good riddance. complete joke of a player and a drain on resources.

And that's all the players fault?

Ten yrs ago he would have been a star player for us. To many have short memories or no memory at all.

The title Curse strikes again.

So curious to know what they paid for him. An 18 month contract hardly screams excitement over such a player.

I imagine 500k?

He has had a lot of stick from our fans and mostly undeserved. Not a Premier League defender due to his rashness, but he still had his moments and played well in some games.

Strange signing at the time and lucky to stick around so long but good luck to him. Will get regular football now and will be interesting to see how he does.

Some decent work is being done in terms of outgoings this window, that’s for sure.

Agree. Rudder's Chainsaw crew has made some in-roads into our dense Forest of deadwood.   Still more chopping to be done......
