Emiliano Sala Missing.

It's a tragedy for the player and his family of course, but I wouldn't personally overplay a link or bond with Cardiff about it. People are looking for some sort of link when really it is only the most tenuous of coincidences.

The guy hadn't even played a game for them yet. Of course thoughts should be with the player and the pilot and their families, but I don't really feel we should be busting out half and half Vichai / Sala scarves just yet.

Maybe a bond is overstated, but sympathy and respect certainly are in order. They were classy and understanding in the wake of our tragedy, and the gestures they made did cheer up quite a few folks—perhaps by a long way.

It’s also shocking that the PL can hit by not just one air disaster in mere months, but two.

Instead of looking at this like it doesn’t count that Sala never played for them, I see it as truly sad he will never get to should the worst fears be confirmed.

I am saying my prayers today.

I wasn't aware light aircraft were allowed to fly at night?

The "unconfirmed" reports of the plane struggling to take off are worrying.

I believe you can providing you have done the extra Instrument rating and night flying course on top of gaining your ppl licence

I’m amazed that with today’s modern technology you can just ‘lose’ a plane?

Surely they have some sort of tracker device on them?

I don’t really understand how it works tbh

Yes, of course they can, as long as the pilot has the appropriate ratings.

It was on radar, then it vanished, meaning it's not longer in the air.

Yeah, I get that but don't they also have some sort of tracker device on board that can locate them whether they're in the air or not?

I guess not.

Normally I would let,the premier-league thread take ,carry the singular tragic news...

But respecting Cardiffs efforts, and quiet condolences for our club,in our hours of need and support...

An exciting prospect, from unknown S.American streets, via the French league, wants (ed) to try to ply his trade

In our PL....even for neutrals an exciting prospect, that could of been Cardiff surviving relegation...

It's now late in the day....If he had landed, survived a crash we would of known by now..!!
