You don't ask the plumber to to tune the piano. Our plumber tuned our piano once...and by piano I mean my mum.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 I'm tempted to put them in a 4-2-3-1 to mirror the formation causing me so much misery right now, but let's keep it simple: Douglas Laursen Dabizas Keown Rogers Low Johnson Jarrett Sylla Horsfield Hammond the dark 2004 - 08 era is so lucky our defence was generally the only decent part of the team.

I think I'd remember Collins John much less fondly if I could remember anything shit about him besides him blasting an absolute sitter comically wide against Barnsley when he'd already scored and we were already 2-0 up.
LinekersApples Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 Douglas in goal Jimmy Willis as a one man defence Puel just behind 6 other defensive midfielders De Vries & Akinbiyi dicking around up front
Sly Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 Worst XI I’ve seen (based upon our league standing at the time). GK: Douglas LB: Rogers CB: Laursen CB: Mills RB: Lewis LM: Danns CM: Lewis CM: Kisnorbo - when played as a CM! RM: Lawrence FW: Benjamin FW: Hammond Subs: Beckford, Wise, Whitbread, Rolling, Moreno, Kermogant, Low
Langston Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 Kelvin Ethuhu, Jason Jarrett and Shaun Newton, the Bermuda Triangle of shit loan signings.

There have definitely been worse players in the positions you listed for Heath, Ullathorne (who was unlucky with 2 leg breaks and wasn’t a bad player), Summerbee and Oakes.

Probably but I'm not a shit player savant. Definitely have some strong contenders in that 11 though. Can you offer any alternatives?
kingfox Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 Ryan McGivern and Josh Low should be on everyone's team sheet.

Bert Posted 5 February 2019 Posted 5 February 2019 Kalac Neilson McGivern Moreno Worley Bori Lazcko Junior Lewis Lee Marshall Akinbiyi Hammond We’ve had some right dross. Plenty more that could’ve made the cut.
Aus Fox Posted 5 February 2019 Posted 5 February 2019 Half of the players mentioned in this thread were not even that bad. Cant work out if it’s short memories or young fans... but we’ve had some absolute shockers. If you limited the team to players who actually made an appearance it’s hard to go past Kalac in goal, he was truely abysmal, although Kevin Pressman was beaten by a goal kick and Rab Douglas was well Rab Douglas. Junior Lewis has to start in midfield and Lee Philpott on the Left wing. DJ Campbell up front with Beckford just for sheer lack of effort rather than ability. Colin Hill and Brian Carey would made a terrible centre back pairing Mcgiven has to be left back. Imagine a right side of John Curtis and Levi Porter. And I’ll add wise in to really being down team morale and because he’s a ****. Kalac Curtis Hill Carey Mcgiven Porter Lewis Wise Philpott Beckford Campbell Subs: Douglas Jarratt Low Ryan Smith Alan Rodgers Hammond Elvis not Dean Manager: Peter Taylor
