SuperMike Posted 11 February 2019 Posted 11 February 2019 Congratulations to Michael Appleton on his impending appointment as manager of Hibs. I'm sure he'll be a big success up there. As Caretaker manager for us he steadied the ship after Shakespeare's departure and was a major factor in our top half finish last season.
UniFox21 Posted 11 February 2019 Posted 11 February 2019 All the best to him! Hopefully he'll start DJ or give him some game time with the Leicester link!

Silebyfox_89 Posted 11 February 2019 Posted 11 February 2019 Johnson should be getting plenty of game time then... hope Appleton does well up there!
ealingfox Posted 11 February 2019 Posted 11 February 2019 Best win percentage of any Leicester manager in history. Respect.

SuperMike Posted 14 February 2019 Author Posted 14 February 2019 Guess I jumped the gun! Should never believe Sky News!
Mike Oxlong Posted 14 February 2019 Posted 14 February 2019 Edit Congratulations to Michael Appleton on being interviewed for the Hibs job.
The Doctor Posted 14 February 2019 Posted 14 February 2019 Steadied the ship in one game OP taking another pointless and shit dig at Puel on his break from taste testing at the paint factory

SuperMike Posted 14 February 2019 Author Posted 14 February 2019 More points in one game than Puel in his last six.

Vardinio'sCat Posted 14 February 2019 Posted 14 February 2019 Best of luck to him. He struck me as someone who could make a top manager, if the cards fell nicely. We are starting to get a real link with Hibs, it could be handy for further loan deals. Edit Aah, should have read the whole thread through...

The Doctor Posted 14 February 2019 Posted 14 February 2019 Just now, Father Ted said: Can you get any further up Puel's backside? Zzzzzzz What, by dealing in facts? what's the point of factually incorrect digs at our current manager? Criticism of things like his stylistic approach, his man-management of senior players etc. fine - I'd disagree with those two points, I think we can see signs of progress, however slow it is, with spells in games that suggest when we click, we'll be a force, and I think the senior players need phasing out, on the whole I think history will be kind to him and see him as one of our better managers, who laid the foundations for sustained success - but it's sensible debate around what each poster considers priorities, and whether he's the manager to deliver that success rather than just the set up is a fair question. Low value posts like the one I was responding to, kinda pointless.
