LinekersLugs Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 It didn’t work out for you here Mr. Puel and it’s correct that in a results business you must be sacked. you tinkered too much at times , your style of football would possibly bare fruits in time but in this league time is too precious I personally want to thank you for your efforts and your dignity when we lost Khun Vichai , you led us through a dark dark period In our clubs history I hope my fellow supporters can follow with dignity and wish you well Au Revoir Claude
Vardinhio Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 Unlucky Claude, did some good transfer business but as above poster says it's a results game
HighPeakFox Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 I wish him well. I truly hope the club finds the right manager now.
Fox92 Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 He should be respected for how he led a group of players through that, yes. Bought in some decent players for us. But it's a results business and we haven't been good enough.
urban.spaceman Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 It was never going to work out, was it? Regardless, thank you for your efforts, for making some decent progress in developing the squad and for promoting youth. And thank you for your stewardship during that extremely traumatic few weeks last year. Good luck for the future.
Corky Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 No bitterness from me, he tried and didn't achieve what we wanted. Think too much of the criticism has been personal and hopefully we can all move on. Such a shame we couldn't keep up the impressive first eight games of his spell. But the right decision has been made.
EnglishOxide Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 He has done a good job, guiding us through the Vichai thing and developing our young players. He has set a foundation at least.
Larry_LCFC Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 Don't dislike the guy. He had a vision but Leicester wasn't the team for that to become a reality.
RumbleFox Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 Thanks and good luck for the future. Feel like, despite the league position, you have left us in a much better place overall than when you came. Good signings, promising youngsters and some older players moved on. Still feel the future is bright but we really need to bring someone in who has a similar vision for youth. X
Tielemans63 Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 I'm sure he'll get a job in France and do really well. Bon chance Claude!
DennisNedry Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 All I can give him is he's improved the squad. Can't really say anything else positive to be honest. Certainly won't miss him at all.
Buzzell Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 All the best to him. He tried to change the squad, get us playing a different style of play but it never worked.
CollinsLCFC Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 He came, he tried and he didn't succeed. He was with us through one of our most difficult times and for that he has my upmost respect. His task was difficult; to implement a transition of counter attacking, ageing, premier league winning squad into a young, upcoming possession based team, whilst maintaining fans expectations. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. He lost the majority of the fan base early on, and it appears he may of lost his players. He has provided a new foundation for us to build on and I hope one day in the near future we will realise that his managerial career with us wasn't just a waste of 16 months.
LinekersApples Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 Missed a trick and should've taken the advice of a better manager
foxfanazer Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 Thanks Claude. Led us through some dark times and felt you had a difficult job. Most fans didn't take to him from day one.
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 No hypocrisy from me. Apart from his dignified leadership when Vichai died, which was immense, he’s done not much at all for the playing side of things imo. A lot of our players have gone backwards and I can’t abide his press conferences. I’m a City fan, not a Puel fan, and I’m glad he’s gone.
Guest kristianity77 Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 You know what he is doing but for that to work in this country he needs to take charge of team in the championship where there is slightly less pressure to achieve and he might be given more time to do what he wants.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 Never cared about any kind of connection with the fans. Played so overly defensive and cautious that we became utterly dull to watch. Couldn’t get the best out of talisman. Rigidly stuck to things that weren’t working (even when there was nothing to lose in games or when we had a man advantage). I thank him for nothing and i’m delighted to see the back of him. Onto the next one...
Otis Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 Shame, never given a chance by some fans from the start.
cropstonfox Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 About 9 months to late.He would have taken us down next season if not this! Clueless .Played too many at once Should have signed or played more experienced players. DId not embrace Our best player.
Raj Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 Had a massive job in transitioning the club with the old brigade and bringing in some younger talent. If you look at the backbone of the team now he's bought in some decent young players but it's the results in afraid. Some of the players have let him down and some are just crap..good try though
