It might sound an excessive comparison but what Vardy does is mental considering a lot of players his age, including Messi and Ronaldo, have moved to "pensioners" leagues. This alone with all his achievements so far elevates him to Hall of Fame status internationally.

All down to his diet apparently....

The current Leicester City set up don't deserve him. He's not only our greatest of all time - he's one of footballs greatest of all time. Absolutely criminal how little he got to play for England.

Today felt like confirmation that age is getting to him a bit.

Was a bit disappointing that he missed that one-on-one, and more so in not at least hitting the target.

I’m not sure age is to blame for him missing two great chances.

Every time we think he's done he surprises us.

However, he can't keep doing it. We really should relish his remaining games for us

It says more about the club that we need to keep on relying on a 37 year old striker so regularly.

I thought he looked sharp, missing the chance wasn’t down to his age.

I’m sure his strike rate is like 1/4 shots is a goal or maybe 1/5. When he only gets two proper chances all game he’s still doing what’s expected

I agree. He made some very good runs today and I think having Buonanotte in there to feed him is really going to help him this year. I would have put money on him scoring that chance but live I thought it bobbled and he seemed to suggest this afterwards too. When I’ve seen facundo play this year I always come away wishing we had an option to buy. He is just what we needed to replace KDH.

It says a lot really that even OAP Vardy is the best option we have at the moment.

He shouldn't really be starting anymore, especially not week in week out.

Unfortunately our recruitment has been so diabolical that there's nobody to take his place.
