Premier League Thread 2019/20

We've had 4/5 years of goal line tech working perfectly. Why would Oliver doubt it?

Because it's a restart and maybe they forgot?

I just don't know why they don't just check things more often. Everyone looks at that and agrees it's a goal so why can't the ref?

Appeals system, 3 per team per game. Easy.

Plus I don't think we should be letting refs pander to the self-involved dickheads on the pitch.

The issue with checking with VAR is would they then have to check it every time a team thinks it’s over the line and the technology has rule correctly that it hasn’t. Imagine how much more time would be wasted.

Let's be honest, this game was always going to be shit, fans or not. Not the game Sky would have liked to chose to get things going again.

Couldn’t of picked a worse advertisement for the premier league 😂

Hopefully Man City v Arsenal next is much better (it can’t be any worse)

Limit it to 2 or 3 appeals per team per game then.

If we can all see that that was a goal sitting here at home them it’s pretty inexcusable that it wasn’t picked up by VAR. You don’t even need to review just seeing the tv replay showed it was a goal. If that happened to us and cost us top 4 it would be mental.

How does goalline tech work? Does the ref's wristband vibrate, or make a noise to indicate a goal? If so, that is stupid, because you wouldn't know if it wasn't working. Surely some sort if green light for goal, and red light for no goal system would be better, because then they'd at least know that if there was no light at all that it isn't working.

It vibrates and the display on it says GOAL.
