Hope Sky etc don't provide too much disruption to clubs and fans in their chosen televised games in terms of changing fixture days/times, as much as they had done this season gone..

You know too well it's gonna be worse. We have an increase in 19:45 games which isn't needed at all.

Disruption will continue to increase until something and someone makes a stand

Of course.

But such things, such as anti-Sky banners have been seen at a handful of matches and complaints by some clubs to the FA about such reschedules - but it appears to have backfired and ignored, unfortunately.

Think the best way is something like online campaign petitions?

If a big amount of people vote against Sky etc changing gsne days/times is reached to a certrain number, the campaign would be apprived to be debated at parliament etc..

Whilst its making clubs so much money and fans are turning up, they won't care tbh.

It's great and all, minus when they stick the night games as two teams at opposite ends of the country to play at 19:45

Correct. But usually when people try to "make a stand", they just get ignored/laughed at or whatever.

It won't stop until our schedule is like Spain, games back to back with no one playing simultaneously and every game on TV.

Pretty much spot on.

The sad thing is football at the highest levels is becoming a game for tourists rather than for supporters.

....and tourist prices, well match day tickets.

another reason we need a bigger stadium more ST at the more acceptable price level.

This man c Mahrez argument is a little silly. Did he play enough games to deserve the medals?

So what man c player played every prem game. Every FA and League Cup match. Also every game to the CL semi?

I'm not ever going to look because other than the keeper no outfield player will have. Be very surprised if even the keeper did.

No attacking players allowed in the wall to avoid disturbances. The drop ball is no longer competitive.

It'll be a non contact sport in a couple of years.

Interesting to see if the officials will police the one foot on the line at a penalty as they certainly don't care if the keeper is 2 yards off the line at the moment.

The biggest joke is the penalties. Keeper has to keep one foot on the line OK. The keeper can not touch both posts while waiting as not fair play OK. But nothing about a stuttered run up by the taker.

kicker can stutter but he cannot stop. maybe we need different levels of pen, depending on how likely a goal was ……. (tongue in cheek but i could see it happening now we have var)

It's a bit unclear, but I think the article's subheading for that is factually wrong.

The unnecessary drop balls that currently happen (i.e. ball gets punted back to the keeper) are being removed from the game. As I read it, that doesn't mean that competitive drop-balls are being removed as well - they can still happen, it's just rare that one gets given nowadays.

About 4 of those Everton fans were arrested after the game against us at the Vic when there was a bit of a punch up - never seen so many police cars on Vicarage Road!

Turn a blind eye to Encroachment as well. Almost every penalty sees players running into the box before the ball is kicked.

One rule that I would like to see derived from other sports though is the "penalty goal". If a shot is on target and the defender stops it with his hand, it should be given a straight goal. Promotes fair play as the penalty could always be saved/missed.
