Got to admire him really, he's been incredible for them. Perhaps he was so impressed by us in the two games this season that he wanted to come and play for us?
Soar Fox Posted 19 May 2019 Posted 19 May 2019 He seemed to be a refs favourite, they always bottled it sending him off. 1

That's not to say he will regret leaving to go there but I guarantee that he got way more satisfaction from being player of the season in a team that achieved the impossible in 2015/16. He started 8 or 9 out of their 12 cup games and 14 premier league games, hardly bit part is it.

Koke Posted 19 May 2019 Posted 19 May 2019 Wolves season will start early. Will fascinating to see how they cope. The comparison to Burnley isn't quite fajr as Burnleys hoof merchants weren't up to it. Wolves will enter 2nd qualifying round on 25 July. Europe League dates Second qualifying round draw – June 19 Third qualifying round draw – July 22 Second qualifying round – July 25/August 1 Play-off round draw – August 5 Third qualifying round – August 8/August 15 Play-off round – August 22/August 29 Group stage – September 19 – December 12
CosbehFox Posted 19 May 2019 Posted 19 May 2019 Wolves problem will be the low coefficient they have. Be unranked playing decent teams early on
Jimothy Posted 19 May 2019 Posted 19 May 2019 Kompany has signed a 3 year deal to be player/manager of Anderlecht.
Nalis Posted 19 May 2019 Posted 19 May 2019 They should ditch the Europa League group stages and go with a straight knockout. Europa League group stages are fairly boring and not as dynamic as Champions League group stages. Saves on two matchdays too. 4

You can hardly say that starting around one third of PL games qualifies you as more than a squad player. I love Riyad but let's face it he is nowhere near a key player for them and if every player is fit he would not be a starter. Compare that to his role in 15/16.
Popular Post StanSP Posted 19 May 2019 Popular Post Posted 19 May 2019 The saltiness towards Mahrez is astounding. We got some very good years out of him and he chose to inevitably leave a year or two after he could have realistically done so. He went to Man City to win trophies and has won 3 of them first off. It's a success all round for him. To say he'll feel like he might not deserve them because he didn't play that regularly is weird. And sounds so bitter. Makes it sound like he should feel bad for moving but as the stats show (and just pure facts really) he was used more than a 'bit-part' player and actually played a decent amount. It's not like he's just sat on the bench like a 2nd choice goal-keeper who comes in only when Ederson is injured or for the odd cup game. Let him have his success at Man City without sounding so salty about it. He had his success here and we should remember the fact he played his part in winning the league and playing Champions League (!!!) football with us! 24 1
Brainy Posted 19 May 2019 Posted 19 May 2019 You'd think he had died what with the reaction this morning

No I don’t, he’s won two cups starting what, 90% of the games! That’s not bit part, you want to shift this onto just about the league, but at the start it was about winning three trophies.

His choice was either to stay here and never win the league again or go to Man City and win everything - even if that means playing less in the league. Easy decision for most footballers. In the cups he played nearly every game.

Koke Posted 19 May 2019 Posted 19 May 2019 (edited) Everton are putting 15 players up for transfer. It's a serious attempt to clear out their deadwood And Bolasie apparently has a £10m release clause. A player they bought for £28m, how does that even make sense Bolasie is such a West Ham signing, it will probably happen. Edited 19 May 2019 by Koke

Guest Papasmurf Posted 19 May 2019 Posted 19 May 2019 Everton have as much chance of shifting that lot as we do King and James.

Foxxed Posted 19 May 2019 Posted 19 May 2019 Could Kompany leaving start a bidding war for Harry between the two Manchester clubs? I'd like to keep Harry if we can afford to buy Tielemans without selling, but if stupid money is being thrown around for a player in our most stocked position you'd have to consider it.
