I would say it's safe. The impressive part of the record is keeping the form week on week. Which is why van nistelrooys original record wasn't that impressive as it was over two seasons, he had the summer off half way through.

SouthStandUpperTier Posted 28 September 2019 Posted 28 September 2019 The longer it stays 1-1 the more likely Aguero is to come on.

So they were consecutive premier league games and he played in them all. Man city look like they'll need a goal, so hopefully they bring him on and he fails to score and removes all doubt anyway. katieakita Posted 28 September 2019 Posted 28 September 2019 Nice to see De Bruyne taking offence at the sort of challenge his fellow Man city players put in every week

How can you say it's consecutive when he's had a 3 month break though , that's why i thought it would be games you play in cause that makes more sense Sterling
Harry96 Posted 28 September 2019 Posted 28 September 2019 Wow sterling been shite. Those classic Mahrez though balls miss him so much 1
trabuch Posted 28 September 2019 Posted 28 September 2019 Oooh that's a bad miss. Great ball from Mahrez. 3
Jimothy Posted 28 September 2019 Posted 28 September 2019 That was a nasty challenge. Schneiderlin has turned into that type of player in the last few years.
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 28 September 2019 Posted 28 September 2019 Sterling does miss the odd sitter. Great ball from Riyad.
Suzie the Fox Posted 28 September 2019 Posted 28 September 2019 LOL... even i would have scored that !

I'm sure if he does make it they'll either frame it as the same or a record of how many games in a row the player played or some shit
Suzie the Fox Posted 28 September 2019 Posted 28 September 2019 Are Everton playing well or Man City on a bit of an off day?
RowlattsFox Posted 28 September 2019 Posted 28 September 2019 He will probably tap in a winner but sterling has been rubbish tonight.

Finnegan Posted 28 September 2019 Posted 28 September 2019 Amazed Sterling is still on tbh he's looked like he needs the shepherd's crook for a while. Just having one of those days.

Hes was all in one season, pretty much week after week apart from international breaks. Whilst technically consecutive games, both Aguero and Ruud had summers in between, likely played a few friendlies and internationals without scoring, so clearly didn't continue that high level over the 11 weeks like Vardy had to.
