I'm glad we've come to a point where nearly all major sports are taking this truly seriously though.

Crazy how out of it he looks from a hall hitting though. Must have caught him really awkwardly.

Once again, a less than medically trained player lifts up a colleague who is out cold on the pitch.

I thought they'd got better at this sort of thing.

Cathcart is probably the best of a bad lot.

Most are over 30 and very slow - certainly not really up to Premier league standard on a regular basis.

Even if we stayed up the squad would need a total overhaul.

Most of our attacking players would be off - Sarr must wonder what he has come into!

You kept the ball ok today but once into the final third the lack of cutting edge was noticeable. Virtually no dangerous crosses or balls in. All very hopeful long range stuff or soft attempts straight at the keeper.  We could have scored one or two more but it was a comfortable performance today. And boy did we need it. Man City next then an international break. Going into that winless would have been concerning.

What happened?

Everton 0-0 Man City

Replays show Theo Walcott getting clattered by Raheem Sterling's cross as he went to close down the loose ball following Jordan Pickford's save.

Alex Iwobi is warming up

You say that, but there were a couple of rugby players who looked out of it earlier that were allowed to play on. And the NY Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard played the majority of the week 1 game against the Cowboys with a concussion. Some concussions are not as immediately obvious as Walcott's just now.

It's brilliant that people are now taking note of how serious these types of injuries are.

If Everton can pull off an unlikely win here, we could have a top of the table 6 pointer against the Scousers next Saturday.

We've made big steps in the right direction, but some aspects aren't where they should be.

It's an improvement.

Has George North not spent most of the last 5 years concussed?

And I also remember Olivier Bernard getting TKO'd by a clearance from his own teammate in a game against us back in the day and we all thought it was hilarious. It is taken much more seriously now.
