shailen Posted 30 April 2019 Posted 30 April 2019 Absolute legend. He was the workhorse in our title winning season. He did so much of the dirty work and allowed our more technical players to do their damage further up the field. We suffered so much when we took him out the team for Slim the following season with Kante also gone - we'd basically drained the energy out of our midfield. All the best Shinji. You'll always be remembered for being pivotal in delivering our greatest ever moment.
Corky Posted 30 April 2019 Posted 30 April 2019 Bloke has given his all for the club for four years. Deserves a great reception.
Foxxed Posted 30 April 2019 Posted 30 April 2019 You have to remember the role he played when we won it. No one understood it. Not even shinji at the start. Definitely not the fans. I think it was @Fox92 who analysed our 15/16 goals and found Shinji's midfield disruptions essential to them. The win was incredibly unexpected and incredible, nothing more unexpected and incredible as playing a top Japanese goal scorer as a disruptive midfielder. Thanks for the smiles and memories. And thanks for playing one of the many pivotal roles in bringing that trophy home.
reynard Posted 30 April 2019 Posted 30 April 2019 One of the immortals. No need to say much more except for thanks for all you gave to our club.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 30 April 2019 Posted 30 April 2019 Thanks for the massive part you played in ' the miracle' smiler. All the best for your future Shinji.
Heathrow fox Posted 30 April 2019 Posted 30 April 2019 Completely forgot his 16/17 belter v Man City until the other day.Has a pro footballer ever scored such a variety of weird and wonderful goals?
Vacamion Posted 30 April 2019 Posted 30 April 2019 There's a reason he had to come off after 60 or 70 minutes every time. No one worked as hard. One of our legends. And a smile which lit the place up. Fare well, Shinji.
worksopfox Posted 30 April 2019 Posted 30 April 2019 Played his part in winning the League. Legend!!!!! However its time to move on!! Thanks for the memories
Ozwin Posted 30 April 2019 Posted 30 April 2019 Scored so many important goals for us. Absolute class act. Will be thought of very highly here for a long long time.
Otis Posted 30 April 2019 Posted 30 April 2019 100% grafter, but he's right to go, the club has moved on.

Scored some of the most important scuffed shots in our history. When I think of Shinj, I always think of this... If that move had resulted in a goal, and it deserved to, then our title winning season would have been absolutely perfect. What a move!

car1os Posted 30 April 2019 Posted 30 April 2019 What a man - gave his all during his time here. He can leave the club with his head held high and with applause behind him for all his hard work for the team
Anglodanglo Posted 30 April 2019 Posted 30 April 2019 God bless Shinji. Only player I've seen who could smile a ball into the net
foxinsocks Posted 30 April 2019 Posted 30 April 2019 Shinji was key in our title win.... he was the catalyst. He has a few mores seasons.... good luck to him. He is a legend..... my daughter still sings Christian fuchs and robert huth... okazaki! (Ow stick you..)

Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 30 April 2019 Posted 30 April 2019 Love him, love his energy and his desire. He’s played a role at the club that has been necessary for our success and has gone about it in the most professional manner. I wish him nothing but the best ?

What a move! Apart from scoring a goal or saving a penalty, that was the finest few seconds of football I have witnessed in over 50 years on this planet. To quote the commentator: "What a breathtaking passage of play. Any team that plays football as brilliantly, as beautifully as this, deserves to win a title. That is mesmeric"

HybridFox Posted 30 April 2019 Posted 30 April 2019 thanks for the memories Shinji! gave 100% whenever called upon and will be missed. But the right decision has been made to move on now. would still be a hit somewhere like the MLS
