Another one that got away !!

Reality was though that he wanted to leave for game time when we were enjoying our success with Vardy, Okazaki and Ulloa all ahead of him in the pecking order. Easy to say he got away but he didn’t suit what we needed tactically at the time and we won the league.

Right place but wrong time for Kramaric.

Only been posted about 500 times. Classic case of a talented player who wasn't quite suited to the physicality of the PL.

Pleased to see him doing well as he did choose us over going to Chelsea and getting shipped out on-loan. Got to respect him for that.

He's the inspiration for what is still my favourite bad-football-chant. My nephew can still recite it word for word (minus the swearing of course).

Don’t know if this has previously been posted but This Lad seems to be getting better each season a one that got away, Kramaric scoring 22 goals that he could have scored for us !

Does anyone else think we should have given this lad a bit more time and not sold him on ?

Last season was the first time he's put together a whole season of performances. Would / could we have waited this long? He's been exceptionally patchy before that, would our fans have been forgiving of 22/23 game stretches without a goal. Look at the shite Iheanacho gets.

He's probably earnt himself a half decent move now on the back of this season though.

Yes selling him was a mistake, but at the time we didn't play the type of football that suits his style of play. Ironically if he was with us right now, he could well be one of our best players as a player who is great in any of the front 3 positions and contributes massively with goals and assists.

But at the end of the day the strikers ahead of him bagged us the title, so we can't be too critical. A classic case of right signing, wrong timing.

What's the chant?

Clearly had ability but would never have been a success for us. Obviously lacked pace which has been pivotal for a striker in our team over recent years, and I personally felt he was a bit too over extravagant at times in front of goal trying to score a worldie (and missing) when a simpler shot would have yielded better results. Coupled with Vardy's form over recent years I think both the club and player made the right decision.

There haven't been many strikers who have left us in recent years and gone on to do better, we are a bit of a poisoned chalice if you're a striker and you pitch up at our gaff. You've about fcuked it if you don't do well with us and there aren't many that have as Vardy runs the manor and will do until he's 50.

Kramaric didn't and i'm not sure does, suit a team with a high press. He'd probably have done well under Puel but he didn't fit in to the Ranieri style of play nor would he seem an obvious choice under Rodgers. He is a good player though and is evidently a very good finisher, would be interesting to see what he would do if he got back in the Prem.

Who gives a shite? Really?

He left and we moved on

Never a question of whether he was good enough just that he didn’t fit into our team at the time.

Its a shame because we would have saved money on Maddison had he still been here but who knows how good he can be.

You won't be saying that once Amartey leaves, you will be crying in your corn flakes

I can’t see Kramaric getting into the team ahead of Vardy and he’d still be a bit-part player here. Our style of play doesn’t suit him. Better for him he’s at Hoffenheim, and better for us we haven’t got him clogging up the bench with the others.

I’m pleased for him, it was clear he had quality but just didn’t work out for him at City.

Thought there was a good player in there at the time but agree with others that it was the wrong time for him to be here.

One of the small reservations that I did have about him was that, whilst his right foot was clearly pretty classy, his left foot was League One standard at times. Unless he’s improved that he could find that limits his capability in the Premier League (where you have less time and space typically to get your shots away).

Hopefully we have some kind of sell on clause on him, only sold him for £11 million, can see him being the kind of player that would end up moving to one of the bigger clubs in germany like Leverkusen, Wolfsburg etc.

Some of these fan pages seem to have short memories. He didnt get a run against Vardy in full flight. All ifs and buts rather than actually whats happening, as has been covered in this thread
