WigstonWanderer Posted 8 July 2019 Posted 8 July 2019 Apart from the anomaly of the glorious 2015/16 season, this feels like the culmination of the “top 5 in 5 years” pledge by the owners. I believe this is the sort of evolution they wanted. Not unrealistic to think of this as a possibility this coming season.

We haven’t done all that well with record signings in recent years, with the notable exception of Ulloa, but we have good evidence that this one will buck the trend.

Exactly, and this is mainly based on his previous stint with us earlier this year. This time, we are definitely NOT getting an unknown quantity, and the move fits all parties (Monaco included).
