Kelechi Iheanacho scores first goals for Sevilla since Leicester City move
Iheanacho chose not to renew his contract after the Championship-winning 2023/24 season, bringing the curtain down on six years at Leicester.

After interest from several clubs, the Nigeria international swapped England for Spain to join Sevilla.

But despite being handed the number nine shirt, Iheanacho has failed to set the world alight and some reports even claimed that the La Liga side were pondering selling him in January.

However, Iheanacho showed fans what he is capable of by scoring two goals in their Copa del Rey victory against Las Rozas.

It was the 28-year-old’s fourth start of the season but the first where he had played a full 90 minutes.

Former Huddersfield Town and Hull City forward Martyn Waghorn has joined League One outfit Northampton Town.
A seasoned EFL frontman, Waghorn had been on the free agent market following his departure from Derby County at the end of last season.

The 34-year-old has now sealed a return to the EFL, penning a short-term deal with the Cobblers.

Northampton boss Jon Brady said: "Martyn is a player with bags of experience and a lot of quality. He has played in the Championship for most of his career and he will bring that knowledge and pedigree with him.

"The squad is stretched a little at the moment, both in terms of the number of players missing in forward positions and the busy schedule, and we feel Martyn can help us through this hectic period.

Don't know whether anyone remembers Jack Butterfill who was with the acdemy a few years ago, he's just signed for Grantham Town on a dual registration from Stamford.

He was massively under rated by our fans.

He played in a team that finished 5th twice and won the FA Cup, doing the dirty work, which allowed others to thrive. If he’d been a bit more clinical in front of goal, he wouldn’t have got half the hate he did.

I still find it annoying we didn’t keep him the season we got relegated as he was a far better option than others who saw us collapse in on ourselves.

No coincidence he’s thrived in Spain.

He wasn't as self sacrificing as Okazaki and he had similar strike rate. He was powderpuff in possession too.

He was OK at best, save for a couple of outstanding performances during his time with us.

Lookman scores 2 goals away at Napoli in a 3-0 win.

I see he’s being linked to PSG.
