The Amex gets lauded but it’s still boring and characterless. Glass and steel facades all blur into and look more like shopping centres than football grounds. Ibrox (as a ground) is infinitely more appealing than the Emirates because it looks like a football ground whereas the Emirates looks a generic modern, multi sports stadium The front of ours apart from the glass logo looks like it was plucked from the urban area of a Russian City that has links with either Cov or Man City and having been built during the reign of the communist led USSR.

Would make for a better atmosphere which I’m sure we can all agree we need. And maybe swap ends so it replaces the family stand. Or at least a decent proportion of it. Atmosphere seems to be a long way from the club's thinking from what I can gather though.
UHDrive Posted 3 June 2020 Share Posted 3 June 2020 Target date for Vichai's stadium statue is the 17th june so maybe an announcement then? The statue looks just as you'd expect on the drawings I've just seen.

I’d imagine/hope all of the facilities in the stadium would be upgraded too. It seems they’ve moved from a spread out car park for a more compact multi storey building, which allows more supplementary buildings.

I noticed that two car parks have been removed in favour of a multi story thus freeing up more space. It looks like we're getting a new megastore. so the original store can be used for hospitality etc.

They were the ones who designed our training ground, the new White Hart Lane and Anfield redevelopment plus many more. Spending £2.6m on this project so far is already a decent investment. Just ask yourself this our owners/board members etc wouldnt go for mediocre development. Everything we have done so far we have done good. Dont worry we are in safe hands and exciting times are ahead.

The development will need to generate money to pay for the build and to increase the clubs income longterm. Hence the multi storey carpark allowing for more retail space, and the proposed accomodation (possibly student) at the top of the site. I'm sure the accomodation is included as a financial reality, to generate income to balance the books. The idea of a museum suggested by some would be nice, but I can't see it being simply a museum taking up valuable space. I imagine it would be included as part of a fan "experience" involving food/retail/leisure to generate revenue. After all isn't that what King Power specialise in in Duty Free areas within airports? From memory the Legends survey we completed was centred around fan experience, spending, etc on match day.

Well if you think the stand opposite is the same size that's approx 15k seats of 32. I'd have thought it was less than 7.5k if anything seeing as the stand behind the goals are smaller than the east and west ones

There’s a big white unidentifiable rectangle in the newer plans that overlooks the new memorial garden. Given how prominent that space is, I’d be very surprised if that wasn't a museum/arena. Sol thewall Bamba Posted 4 June 2020 Share Posted 4 June 2020 I quite like the plans as they are there, a really intricate roof similar to Marsielle's ground would be awesome. Would have loved a two tier Kop but maybe that's one for the future. The results of the survey done by Legends was due out ages ago IIRC, would be very interested to see them.
