Ayoze is a tricky one

I think it’s fair to say that he is the weakest member of our starting XI and as much as I’d love a Neres type winger on the right…

Based on how we played today we look to play a more lopsided 4-2-3-1. Whereby Bertrand sits back more to allow Barnes to reek havoc on the left. And Perez tucks in as an additional 10 to allow Pereira more room on the right when in possession. So we end up with more of a 3-2-4-1 when we’re attacking with Barnes and Pereira providing the width and 2 10’s of Madders and Perez behind the striker. So although RW is still a position I want us to improve in, his defence workrate is very important to the team in covering both centrally and out wide, and linking up with Pereira to bring the best out of him.

There was an instance today about the half hour mark were he was played in on the right. He took a touch, Vardy started to make that run across the defenders and the pass was there to try but he took another 3 or 4 touches and by that time, their defence had checked the run and he had nothing to do but chip it into the keepers hands.

Dunno what game you was watching but he had 1 touch then chipped into the box !!

if you look for negative you will always find it

Nice to see even when we win there is time for people to be negative.

Can’t help the haters mate

To be honest Kelechi could have done Ayoze's job yesterday while providing more goal threat. Maybe we will see Barnes, Vardy(Daka) , Iheanacho at times this season.

Tbf I did think this. Play him as the right inside forward. Kel has played CAM a few times before.

Aren't fans allowed to criticise players anymore then?..

Come on, Perez was poor again yesterday!.. it's nothing to do with being a hater! The guy isn't good enough and he proves that to be the case time and time again!

If you can't see that is a fact then you really need a trip out to Barnard castle.

I didn't mention the word hate.....

I think poor is stretching it, he worked hard, keep the ball well and was involved in some good moments, only complaints I would have is the poor finish and a wasted crossing opportunity

I just think there is so much more to talk about rather then focusing on negatives. Glass half full rather then half empty.

We have won the Community Shield for the first time 50 years!

Yep you’re right the people that don’t hate Perez are wrong   Can I have some info about Barnard castle please and the relevance to this thread.  Many thanks

I don’t see why we need a Perez thread when his name comes up in every other thread any way.   Fox talk has developed a very weird and somewhat unhealthy obsession with this player.

Sure they are but they can also take a day off from this every now and then.

I find it weird also. It's like it's something personal, almost like bullying.

He's the new Wellens...

Poor guy, we get the point! You all think he's shit, do you not have anything else to talk about! I hope he never comes on here and reads this incessant hatred. It'll do wonders for his confidence and mental well-being 🤦‍♀️

Ultimately,  shouldn't we as fans be wanting our players to improve and do well! Yes, be critical, but there comes a time when criticism turns to bullying and hatred, and some of you in this thread just seem to hate the guy and will use any reason to post about him. 😡 he's really not as bad as is made out, and he's been improving aspects of his game during pre-season. I was impressed at how he's keeping the ball more now and not getting pushed off it as much. Even when he scores in pre-season people on here slag him off. You'd all be so much happier if you let go of your anger and hatred...

Its a forum about LCFC and Perez is one of our players

Silly and overused term 'haters' The comments are reasonable and the fact people don't rate Perez doesn't mean they hate him.

Rodgers doesn't rate him that highly or he wouldn't be desperately trying to fill that position.

You can't accept mediocrity or its a race to the bottom. There was a time when he would've been our best player, but we have moved onwards and upwards

The guy puts in a shift and is respected for that

I come to this thread after he has a reasonable game and we win a trophy hoping there will be some positives and the pitchforks have been put down but what was I thinking... this is FoxesTalk :dunno:

Nah, he played well on Sat.

They all did and we won a trophy. Absolute no criticism from me towards any of them on such a great day again.

Maybe Ricardo being back to his elite level helps Perez. Perez played his best football for us with Ricardo behind him.

Totally agree with what you have said HOWEVER virtually in every thread wether it be incoming xfers or potential outgoing players wether they be senior players or academy players PEREZ gets slated in them which is completely off topic and undeserved IMO. No he is not a great player but like Marc he puts in a shift when called upon

I'm not Perez's biggest fan but it's churlish to say he didn't play well on Saturday.

I think we need a bit more on the right and get something who can play with the re-emergence of Ricky P.

JJ and Ricky P would make a great combination but it would be ideal to get an out and out right winger.
