Jimothy Posted 24 September 2019 Posted 24 September 2019 To go away to a lower league team, make changes and comfortably win 4-0 is what sets the big teams apart from the likes of Spurs.
Benguin Posted 24 September 2019 Posted 24 September 2019 Really think iheanacho should go on loan to a decent championship side. Could score 18-24 goals there and come back with fresh legs and bags of confidence, which I think is all he needs.
StanSP Posted 24 September 2019 Posted 24 September 2019 Sounded quite stale before the first goal was scored (based off all the crap about Stringer and comments on here ). Decent result and job done with a mix of regular and fringe players. Justin's goal was probably the best of the lot. Great ball by Youri and nicely finished by Justin who made a superb run in to the box.
Mickey O'Neil Posted 24 September 2019 Posted 24 September 2019 A solid, professional result. Pleased for Gray. The JJ goal was lovely. Can't imagine him getting space like that in the PL but he took his chance. You can't argue with that.

Nicolo Barella Posted 24 September 2019 Posted 24 September 2019 Wouldn't mind anther easy draw to play the squad in. Benkovic needs a start with the 1st team.

The Year Of The Fox Posted 24 September 2019 Posted 24 September 2019 Can we just stop a second and laugh at Tottenham

Unlikely to happen. Very much looking like 14 Premier League sides and 2 League Two sides who've beaten three Premier League sides between them.

Sheffield United or dare I say it the Villa. Even Watford as it stands! Nacho *definitely* has talent. Talent isn't always enough to make you a good player as attitude, physicality, workrate and decision making are key attributes to have too. But IMO he's not yet in the bin category. It's just that no one is going to displace the best striker we've had since Lineker (and arguably better than for the club). We all know that when Vardy calls it a day it will be the end of a legend and even though I think the club will go our and spend 50m+ on a replacement, there won't ever be anyone quite like JV. That makes it super tough for someone like Nacho.

LCCFox96 Posted 24 September 2019 Posted 24 September 2019 Great result for us. A clean sheet, 4 goods goals and back on the bus home. Couldn't have asked for a smoother ride. Really pleased for Nacho. Also good to see a Top 6 casualty in Spurs (lmao). Hopefully another slips up tomorrow.

Even more annoyed we couldn't see the stream now! Only lower league opposition but those goals were classy and / or ruthless pressing to force mistakes. Very classy of JJ to not celebrate against his old team also. Looks like we got a good player from Luton and hopefully the cash they received can help them improve.

Shocking commentary on the Tielemans goal saying Nacho fell over he don’t he just stumbles from what I can see . Then goes on to say he gets the ball back to cross to to Tielemans to score when it’s clearly a Gray

Anglodanglo Posted 24 September 2019 Posted 24 September 2019 Forget Spurs. Knowing we won't draw Newport next is the icing on my Carabao Cup cake tonight.

I think it was Andy Townsend who said after Kane's goal 'That's the difference between a top side like Spurs and a side like, with no disrespect, a side just like Leicester City'. Won't be word for word.
bmt Posted 24 September 2019 Posted 24 September 2019 Nice to see how much Nacho was pressing for his goal.

StriderHiryu Posted 24 September 2019 Posted 24 September 2019 On the post match talk on LCFC.com, they are joking about Gerry Taggart's nomination for the Balon d'Or 2020 - Jonny Evans
