What has happened to Bernie?  I haven't seen him for quite a while.  I hope he is ok?  Does he still get to watch City?

Saw him towards the end of last season in a wheelchair being wheeled around by someone outside the ground. Never seen him so clean.

Remember someone on here not too long ago mentioning that he's now living in a care home in the Quorn (?) area.

That was me. I think he’s gone into sheltered accommodation- hope it’s not in Derby lol

A true legend of Leicester, would argue with his shadow for no real reason.

I remember a post on here ages ago that had an article about him from the 60's.

The club should give him a testimonial!

The world would be a sadder place without the likes of Bernie.

Saw the same thing at the spurs game.

On 30 minutes the stadium clears for us all to go Morrison’s and return on 60 mins with our shopping and every toilet roll in the stadium.

How has he afforded a season ticket for all these years?!

He was featured in a programme a few decades ago, I think he worked in insurance.

Probably got a decent pension.

He's as much of foxes folklore as Jobber and Lineker. Often used to see him home and away. He would argue with himself in a phone box, but what a great character.

What says Leicester to you?  Clock Tower, red cheese, Filbert Fox, cream and maroon buses, jittys and me ducks? Bernie also on the list for me.

Have often wondered what his story was.

He probably used to work an 80 hour week and then had a breakdown.

Heard from a few different people that hes absolutely loaded. One story said he was being paid into the wrong bank account at work and only realised 2 years later.

Of course it could all be part of the legend.

I saw him once talking and shouting at a big screen tv on his own in a pub at 11am when I used to deliver booze in and around the Loughborough area. Seemed pissed out his face. Very sad. Never worked out where he got his money from either.

Irrelevant & stupid question

Hardly irrelevant in a topic about the man is it?

And surely wondering how a man who, for the past god knows how many years, has looked either mentally ill / absolutely twatted / both, has enough money to renew his season ticket every year is entirely reasonable. Face paint ain't cheap you know.
