yorkie1999 Posted 16 November 2019 Posted 16 November 2019 Like to see rashford do half of that stuff

Anybody with a record like that should be starting, and starting with a strike partner. Strike partner or not. Despite what Kane has done for Spurs he had a shocking World Cup and wasn't on it. We got through to the semi's through set pieces and penalty shootouts. Kane being handled by World class defenders leaving him having to come deep to get the ball. But playing with Vardy or without Vardy, Southgate's inability to change things when needed shows how bad he actually is. As we've see with Brendan in the Arsenal match, he makes subs that can change the game. Emery changed things after going 2 down that didn't do anything. Southgate is the same. Tactically naive. Though yeah, it would have been nice to see a Kane/Vardy strike partnership given more of a chance to form. But hence another reason why Southgate is in over his head.

Run at them, stretch them, go at them. But no, Southgate spanners about for another weak 20 minutes when the entire country could see that Vardy would terrorise tired legs. I think that is the reason he chose to retire and is Southgates mostly costly mistake by refusing to get him involved. can't stand the bloke for this reason alone hes a complete buffoon
Les-TA-Jon Posted 16 November 2019 Posted 16 November 2019 Show that to any mindless football fan who thinks Vardy is simply good for his pace.

SOUTHGATE IS A JOKE, ALWAYS HAS BEEN, HE HAS LEARNT A BIT BUT IS AN AVERAGE MANAGER.

LC/FC Posted 17 November 2019 Posted 17 November 2019 This International break and making myself watch England for Chillwell and Maddison's first cap has brought back some PTSD lingering from last year it seems. It's all well and good smashing minnows in qualifying or doing well against the bigger teams in pointless friendlies. But when it came down to business, we were shocking in the World Cup! The only thing major to come out of it was Slabhead getting a few goals, the media absolutely praising him to the high hills as the next Bobby Moore, which pushed his price to the 80 million we fleeced off Man Utd.

The highlights don't do it justice, he ran it from almost our own penalty area on his own. This game against Barnsley also was an early insight into the fact that this lad would go on to become a world class striker.
Countryfox Posted 17 November 2019 Posted 17 November 2019 Bear with it .. some nice comments towards the end ...

Sampson Posted 18 November 2019 Posted 18 November 2019 Annoying advert for the first 15 seconds but otherwise here's every Vardy goal up until early September.
urban fox Posted 18 November 2019 Posted 18 November 2019 not bad skills on display for a one trick pony who can only use his place to run onto long balls over the top. Proves what we all know but others, including Southgate, simply cannot or just don't want to see. The best thing is he just keeps getting better, the down side is that one day he will hang up his boots and where on earth could we ever get anyone of his like again

N’didi is getting there.

oadby.fox Posted 19 November 2019 Posted 19 November 2019 Imagine if Rashford scored that Germany goal, would still be playing for England by 2040.
car1os Posted 23 November 2019 Posted 23 November 2019 Most clinical striker in Europe... https://www.planetfootball.com/quick-reads/comparing-the-conversion-rates-of-the-top-ten-goalscorers-in-europe/
Billy Big Balls Posted 23 November 2019 Posted 23 November 2019 3 goals 2 assists in 3 games this month. Surely a write-in for player of the month for the second consecutive month! That would make him the 6th player to win 5 or more player of the months in the Premier league! Legend.

UniFox21 Posted 23 November 2019 Posted 23 November 2019 Interesting, hardly shocking given Southgate is still in charge.
car1os Posted 23 November 2019 Posted 23 November 2019 Now joint 33rd all time PL scorers on 92, level with Kevin Philips and Mark Viduka. Not far off the 100 club!
