Anyone that has been to the emirates or watched highlights regularly knows it is not 99.3% full. These figures are clearly massaged and pivoted.

That's why I started the post with - Assuming these are true figures and don't include empty ST holder seats.

Wow. A premier league club struggling to fill a stadium that holds less than 11,500.

Wow

Surprised me, as well. I'm sure I read the other day that they want to move into a new stadium. I wouldn't bother if I couldn't fill 11k seats in the PL. Christ.

Yeah this amazes me.

You'd think that even if you didn't really support them the chance to go and see the Premier League would be enough to sell twice their capacity.

Surely this backs the arguement to remove the 3pm broadcast blackout?

Around 50% of each weekends matches are televised (12:30pm, 5:30pm, Sunday 2pm, 4pm and Monday 8pm, with the occasional Saturday 7:45pm and Friday night) and premier league grounds are still 94% full.

It’s nothing to do with premier league clubs, it’s about those further down the pyramid.

The argument is some wouldn’t go and watch say Lincoln v Rochdale on Saturday afternoon, if Liverpool Man City was on in the local pub at that time.

Don’t own the land at stadium the reasoning for a new gaff.

One of the stands is temporary. They can’t provide disabled places or access for away fans.

Because I'd really prefer watching Millwall or Charlton instead...

Shef utd is the biggest surprise for me. Just got into the PL recently and are playing some really good football and are doing really well with a potential European spot and 94%. That's pretty poor

Theres a few foxes based in Sheffield that may be able to correct me. But apparently sheff utd have been really cracking down on ticket sales. So you have to have a history, to purchase so any tickets left don't make general sale at all from what I've read.
