Arsenal (Emirates Stadium) Capacity: 60,704 Average: 60,281 Percentage filled: 99.3% Aston Villa (Villa Park) Capacity: 42,660 Average: 41,643 Percentage filled: 97.6% Bournemouth (Vitality Stadium) Capacity: 11,464 Average: 10,480 Percentage filled: 91.4% Brighton (AMEX Stadium) Capacity: 30,750 Average: 30,370 Percentage filled: 98.8% Burnley (Turf Moor) Capacity: 21,401 Average: 20,344 Percentage filled: 95% Chelsea (Stamford Bridge) Capacity: 41,798 Average: 40,553 Percentage filled: 97% Crystal Palace (Selhurst Park) Capacity: 26,074 Average: 24,982 Percentage filled: 95.8% Everton (Goodison Park) Capacity: 39,571 Average: 39,145 Percentage filled: 98.9% Leicester (King Power Stadium) Capacity: 32,312 Average: 32,045 Percentage filled: 99.2% Liverpool (Anfield) Capacity: 54,074 Average: 53,101 Percentage filled: 98.2% Manchester City (Etihad Stadium) Capacity: 55,097 Average: 54,391 Percentage filled: 98.7% Manchester United (Old Trafford) Capacity: 75,653 Average: 73,408 Percentage filled: 97% Newcastle (St James’ Park) Capacity: 52,338 Average: 47,587 Percentage filled: 90.9% Norwich (Carrow Road) Capacity: 27,224 Average: 27,019 Percentage filled: 99.2% Sheffield United (Bramall Lane) Capacity: 32,702 Average: 30,783 Percentage filled: 94.1% Southampton (St Mary’s) Capacity: 32,505 Average: 29,771 Percentage filled: 91.5% Tottenham (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium) Capacity: 62,062 Average: 59,357 Percentage filled: 95.6% Watford (Vicarage Road) Capacity: 21,438 Average: 20,738 Percentage filled: 99% West Ham (London Stadium) Capacity: 60,000 Average: 59,879 Percentage filled: 99.8% Wolves (Molineux) Capacity: 31,700 Average: 31,313 Percentage filled: 98.7%
rn9013 Posted 26 January 2020 Posted 26 January 2020 Anyone that has been to the emirates or watched highlights regularly knows it is not 99.3% full. These figures are clearly massaged and pivoted.

shailen Posted 26 January 2020 Posted 26 January 2020 This probably supports the need for a stadium expansion as we are consistently selling out the stadium with many people not able to get tickets.
Tielemans63 Posted 26 January 2020 Posted 26 January 2020 Bournemouth (Vitality Stadium) Capacity: 11,464 Average: 10,480 Percentage filled: 91.4% Wow. A premier league club struggling to fill a stadium that holds less than 11,500.

I'm sure I read the other day that they want to move into a new stadium. I wouldn't bother if I couldn't fill 11k seats in the PL. Christ.

You'd think that even if you didn't really support them the chance to go and see the Premier League would be enough to sell twice their capacity.
Yes N'Didi Posted 26 January 2020 Posted 26 January 2020 Surely this backs the arguement to remove the 3pm broadcast blackout? Around 50% of each weekends matches are televised (12:30pm, 5:30pm, Sunday 2pm, 4pm and Monday 8pm, with the occasional Saturday 7:45pm and Friday night) and premier league grounds are still 94% full.

It’s nothing to do with premier league clubs, it’s about those further down the pyramid. The argument is some wouldn’t go and watch say Lincoln v Rochdale on Saturday afternoon, if Liverpool Man City was on in the local pub at that time.
Aus Fox Posted 26 January 2020 Posted 26 January 2020 Those West Ham figures have got to be fudged surely? 99.8% Im calling bullshit
foxes_rule1978 Posted 26 January 2020 Posted 26 January 2020 I can’t believe the Etihad and emirates are over 98% full on average
yorkie1999 Posted 26 January 2020 Posted 26 January 2020 It goes on season tickets sold, even if they don't bother turning up.
Paninistickers Posted 26 January 2020 Posted 26 January 2020 It'd be interesting to see if a study was ever completed into how many active fans a club has. I'd guess we are nudging 70,000 individuals now of people who attend 3+ times per season.

They can’t provide disabled places or access for away fans.

Because I'd really prefer watching Millwall or Charlton instead...

foxinsocks Posted 26 January 2020 Posted 26 January 2020 Looks like the bigger grounds are less likely to be full
Mike Oxlong Posted 26 January 2020 Posted 26 January 2020 More like 9.7% than 97% for the last part of a home game at Old Trafford

hejammy Posted 26 January 2020 Posted 26 January 2020 Shef utd is the biggest surprise for me. Just got into the PL recently and are playing some really good football and are doing really well with a potential European spot and 94%. That's pretty poor

So you have to have a history, to purchase so any tickets left don't make general sale at all from what I've read.
